Tracks I HATED in previous games but strangely miss now:

Pikes peak was always my favorite track and I miss the he'll out of it. Pitching a 1000+ hp escudo sideways is what made me fall inlove with gran turismo. I have been chasing that feeling ever since. That steep ribbon of dirt was beautiful and yet it seems like no one remembers it. My favorite track gets no love and seems to only have a very few peoe that still hold a special place in their hearts for it. Did everyone forget about gran turismo 2? I didn't and damn it I want to take my escudo up one more time with all the beauty, splendor, and emersion that gt5 is able to provide.... Maybe it will be remembered when gt6 comes out in 2080

Apricot Hill - mostly because it was one of the only realistic circuits (realistic barriers, run-off etc. No stupid tunnels, flyovers, bridges etc.).

I miss GT1's SSR11. I loved that layout way more than GT3's. It would be nice if both layouts made a return for GT5 along with a new one.

Tahiti Dirt Route 3. The switchbacks at the end of the lap were a bit fiddly, but I had a go in it again this morning and it's really nice and fast with some great semi-banked corners that you can take at speed.

I was playing Tourist Trophy earlier today, and I remembered just how much I hated Midfield. I'm glad it's not in GT5. I really miss El Capitan though, that course was plain fun. I remember I did the Endurance race for that track in GT4 in A-spec. At the end of it, I felt like I could have done it again. I also kind of miss Infineon and Tahiti.

R.I.P GT1,GT2,GT3,GT4 tracks that aren't in GT5 they should of kept the old ones that were actually enjoyable rather than adding boring oval tracks

You would probably keep on hating them if they were to be included in gt5 ^^
The only track I really miss is Seattle.

I played since day one! I think Seattle came in 2 and they bored it a bit...I got tired of having Seattle in almost every championship...I didnt play 3 much since it had a terrible draw distance...It was like driving in fog...I loved 4 but that seemed to hammer Seattle too? Id like all the old ones back but Seattle again....Only if I dont have to pay for it!

It would be so cool if we could import older tracks from GT4 (or other games in this series) and play them as they are. They may not be perfect and up to date, but it would let us have fun with them until PD released newer content.

I've only played since GT3 but my big ones are COMPLEX STEERING, midfield, El Capitan, Seattle, Hong Kong, Tahiti maze, SMOKEY MOUNTAIN (GT3 fave), APRICOT HILL (favorite tuning course), SS route 11 (GT3 version), and of course, test course. Like the Wind isn't even a top speed event anymore without this track :grumpy:

The rest I'd like to have too, but really just for variety. I don't really miss them much but extra tracks are always welcome.

I absolutely miss Test Course. It was like Daytona's big brother.
I also miss Swiss Alps. Good times in GT3 with the infamous Lancer/Impreza race. :)

El Capitan was a great track, Citta d'Aria was awesome too just friggin hard as heck to get right.

Fuji was (and is in the version that did survive) a boring track, as was Motegi. Glad they didn't make it.

I don't know why but I LOVED racing on Motegi, maybe because the Japanese put always videos on youtube, where supercars battle on that track...I think it's fun to drive, really and PD used it to test cars for GT3.
Here's a nice battle of me on that track in GT4 in the fashion of all those youtube videos:

Man, you almost got my voted "top tracks" 1 for 1, nice picks. :)
I'd be thrilled even if it takes some DLC to get these added back in. 👍 And maybe Redrock, that's another old favourite. :)
These, plus make alterations to TGTT so we can use it more as it's intended, ie, standing start, leader board...and ability to set it up for drag racing down the straight. ;)

Except for Fuji and Grand Canyon I completely agree

The fewer Fujii tracks the better, I hate that track. That and Suzuka :yuck:

If I had a religion this would be blasphemy of the highest order! You hate Suzuka?! Fuji, fine, but SUZUKA? I can't believe it, I'm going to have to lie down. Oh, I'm already lying down, I'm going to have to sleep. Good thing as it's almost 5am.

But seriously, how? Why? I used to hate Motegi but I grew to love it, Fuji I like quite a lot but the third sector always, always gets me. I would like to see PD just bring every track back, regardless of how bad it looks, it would be like MGS1 Snake in MGS4. Plus they've already taken that approach with 80% of the cars in the game.

Why Suzuka though, WHY? This is going to puzzle me more than the meaning of life.

Can't understand the Midfield hate.

Downhill into the left right kink into the tunnel off the main straight on Midfield Reverse? Absolutely epic in multi-player. Especially if you can pull it off without getting more than two wheels on the grass and without banging into the walls on the tunnel.

El Capitan... *sigh*... one of the best ever original tracks in Gran Turismo. I could spend hours playing it... scuddering around corners and over crests on the edge of control.

I agree.. Midfield was an awesome track, the turns seemed really technical and it was hard to keep the car in check which made it really fun/challenging.
Also Seattle track was really memorable, spent a lot of time on that track cause I kept messing up all over the place.

El Capitan...oohh the good times with that track.

I do miss SSR11, Seattle, Cittia Aria and Almafi.

Is it me or has Almafi not been mentioned? It was one of the most annoying but fun tracks, reminded me of group B racing, well I did group B racing there anyhow.

Firstly I didn´t like El Capitan, but in the end it wasn´t that bad. Had some good racing there with friends.

Seattle Circuit was a great fun with muscle cars. NOS bottle came very handy on 2nd and 4th avenue. :)

Infineon Raceway is what I miss the most. GT5 have so many suitable cars for that track. Hopefully PD brings it back someday.

I'd be happy with all the tracks from the past GT iterations being added. They already have the assets so it can't be that difficult to upscale/convert them to GT5.

However I'd be even happier if they added brand new real-world tracks from past and present such as the new and old Spa, old Interlagos, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Osterreichring, original Hockenheim...the list could go on forever.

Yeah I'm dreaming but the best thing they could add to GT5 is more tracks :)

PS - there's something wrong with whoever hates Suzuka :P

I only miss Apricot Hill, Infineon Raceway, Midfield Raceway and Twin Ring Motegi. The lack of tracks I never liked is something I appreciate about their selective approach to GT5's content.
