Where's the good old padlock to this thread? I'm sorry. This ain't working.

I second that, John.

There were threads about this before, but the discussion didn't fully end.

As bad as this may sound I think I would want GT games to have driving in the city especially the traffic. With real physics engine, and no arcadey stuff tolerance. It would need large cities, perhaps real ones. If i do it in real live then why not do it in a good nonarcade game. In some countries street racing is not racing in a straight line on an empty road, but seeing who is faster in traffic.

If we can drive like this in the game and love it even more.
You're clearly after Need For Speed: Underground. Not GT4.

And you know people like Neon_Duke, Der_Alta, or even PunkRock won't tolerate with this, so this is basically a case of "it's not cheating unless you're caught." Well, who's going to end this thread?

Obviously they won't stand for it....because they let it go for this long....

I swear, like half of your posts are calling for a mod to lock a post. For crying out loud, if a mod feels it warrants a lock they will lock it, they don't need your permission.

I used to street race with my '91 Integra. Really, it's not worth the danger, not worth the expensive tickets, and CERTAINLY not worth the damn insurance hike. That's what race tracks are for, to get your small 10-15 seconds of adrenaline rush without those three factors.

Gran Turismo 4 is not supposed to be based on street racing. This is one reason why Polyphony's able to get licenses. What kind of car company WANTS to promote illegal racing? If you want a street racing game, go buy NFS Underground and SRS.

I think the point has already been made but I would love having street courses to race on. No other traffic, just another few sports cars and a winding hilltop road like in the original NFS. If point to point tracks in a long, grueling series of races a la the Targa Florio and the Carrea Pan-Americana were included in a GT game it would be very cool.

As it stands though, no traffic and definitely NO STREET RACING!

I think that about wraps it up ...

The game title should be called: Gran Turismo 4: Road Rage in Traffic, and the car maintainence section should include therapy sessions. (What the hell are you thinking???)

That is what surprised me most about NFSU2, the fact that these maufacturers must have let their cars be used in a game that involves illegal street racing and putting decals and spinners on the vehicles. And then there are all the aftermarket parts...

Exactly, and its stupid anyway, you can see the way because of all the building and street lights, THAT SUCKS, finnaly when you discover the road you have been turned into tomato ( AKA: your dead!) , can't believe there are people to do this in real life.
