Hello Dere, I R Devastator!

Jalopnik
Bonecrusher (Demolitions)
He transforms into a bulldozer.
He forms the left arm of Devastator.

Scavenger (Mining and Salvage)
He transforms into an excavator.
He forms the right arm of Devastator.

Scrapper (Construction Engineer)
He transforms into a wheeled front-load shovel.
He forms the right leg of Devastator

Hook (Surgical Engineer)
He transforms into a crane.
He forms the head and shoulders of Devastator.

Long Haul (Transport)
He transforms into a dump truck.
He forms the lower torso of Devastator.

Mixmaster (Materials Fabrication)
He transforms into a concrete mixer truck.
He forms the left leg of Devastator.

Coolsies. I bet hes a big'un.

Nevermind that Bonecrusher already got his wig split by Optimus in the first one.

The head almost looks like one of those big boring machines they use for underground tunnels.

That was probably the effect they were looking for.

Okay, I'm moving from a 40:60 stance to a 60:40 stance on watching this... ...pretty neat character design.

AICN Has A Better Picture of The Fallen

Hes big, looks angry, and somehow will get beat up by someone.

Just heard on the local news that the Silver Stingray shown in previous posts will be Sideswipe. I don't know if that was mentioned earlier in the thread, so I thought I would bring it up.

Its a 50th anniversary Stingray concept. (Well according to the news it was.)

And its on display at the Chicago Auto Show.

I think devastator and the fallen look great. Devastator also looks like he will be absolutely enormous. The only way I see either of those two being beaten though would be fighting each other or some form of divine intervention.

Wonder why people keep calling it stingray? Anyhow, its the Corvette Centinnial concept. ANd yeah, it was mention before

Wow, thats insane. If the consturcticon from the trailer is anything to go by, he might be just as overwhelming as the original in size.

Well, that looks completely alien alright. Nothing says transformer to me about that design.

Why should the Fallen adopt a terrestrial alternate mode? In the first film, you can quite clearly see the Autobots before they find vehicles to transform into - there's one that climbs out of the pool and another that runs across the field - and they have a body that is similar to that picture of the Fallen. If the Fallen is one of the original thirteen Transformers and has been hiding out/bansihed/exiled/lost somewhere in the universe until now, it stands to reason that he has no alternate form other than his more "primordial" alternate mode, assuming he has one at all. After all, Megatron was arrogant enough not to scan an Earth-based vehicle and retain his Cybertronian jet form, and I'm sensing the vibe that the Fallen is an uber-bad version of him; the Adolf Hitler of the Transformers compared to the neo-Nazi that is Megatron, if that's an appropriate analogy. The Fallen won't want - or need - an alternate form that originated from earth, especially if our planet is being used as a staging point for a conquest of the known galaxy. That's exactly how I'd write the film: the Autobots are already on earth, so by conquering the planet, the Decepticons not only remove Optimus Prime and the upper echelons of the Autobots, but they win for themselves a world of their own that they can fortify in time before superior numbers of Autobots arrive.

I'm guessing that Fallen transforms into a metal tiki mask.

I mean as in he doesn't seem to have that mass where you can easily tell he transforms into something. In in his Cybertronian mode, Megatron had some mass to hmm that suggested he transforms into something.

Maybe he doesn't transform at all, or only has a rudimentary ability to do so. After all, he was one of the original thirteen Transformers; therefore every Transformer is descended from him and the other twelve, though there's no indication of how long ago the Fallen came into being. The advanced ability to transform displayed by Optimus and Megatron could easily be the result of millenia of evolution, kind of like the difference between neanderthals and homo sapiens. Given Bay's comments that the Fallen is "apocalyptic", we're likely to see primitive-yet-devastating warfare on one side, and advanced-but-more-delicate fighting from the other. A kind of cavemen vs. astronauts battle if you will.

Oh snap son! That's bloody bonkers!

Well, looks like Scorponhook is back, and whatever that Constructicon is, its freakin' huge. Hmmm, who wants to bet that the trailer plays in front of Watchmen a few weeks from now?

Holy crap! Thats was amazing. I knew Scorpinok was coming back. As for the three motorcyles chasing the Audi R8, I now get to see who the yare more clearly.

Huh? when did I say that?

Some of those toys are very interesting, especially the Autobot "breakaway". Is this possibly a Aerialbot?

Didn't take long

I'll do you one better:sly:

And gentleman, I advise you view this in full screen and pause at 1:40. That is the Fallen.

Anybody else get shades of Armageddon when the pods - I can only assume they're the same as the pods the Transformers arrived in in the first film - decided to change the Paris skyline and relieve the US of one of its aircraft carriers?

A bit. Just a lil' bit.

Actually, those were some good shots of whatever Constructicon it is. The rolly one. Makes you think about how friggin huge Devestator will be.

No I am not. I was making jokes about Amoebae-tron. I never mentioned an apocalypse.

 I think he meant that Michael Bay (the director) has previously mentioned in his press conference that the Fallen will be apocalyptic.
