Qualifying Procedure
Before qualifying, the track will be reset and drivers will enter the pits in stages: first the Corvettes, then the IS-Fs and then the Skyline GT-Rs. When all cars are in the pits, the race director will declare the track green with Q1 GREEN and qualifying Session 1 (Q1) will commence. Qualifying Session 1 will last 8 minutes. When Session 1 (Q1) is finished, the race director will conclude the session and all drivers will return to the lounge.
After the race director has recorded the session 1 times, the race director will call the highest finishing drivers to the pits for the Super Lap Session. The Super Lap Session will determine the order of the grid for the top 4-6 places and determine the qualifying points. The number of drivers that will participate in the Super Lap Session is dependant on the number of drivers that entered into Session 1: 4 if 5-8 drivers set a lap time in Session 1, 5 if 9-11 drivers set a lap time in Session 1, and 6 if 12-15 drivers set a lap time in Session 1. Drivers that do not qualify for the Super Lap Session would be locked into their Session 1 grid position and would watch the Super Lap Session from the lounge. It is forbidden to change settings in between Q1 and the Super Lap Session. The Super Lap Session consists of a warm up lap and ONE flying lap. After the race director declares the track green by declaring SUPER LAP GREEN, the drivers will enter the track and do their lap. It is the responsibility of the drivers involved to give themselves room on the track and not to purposefully impede other drivers.
During qualifying, the race director will refer to drivers using abbreviations that consist of the first three alphabetical letters in their PSN.
Race Procedure
After qualifying has been completed, the race director will reset the track. The race director will then call drivers to enter the pits in stages (as before): first the Corvettes, then the IS-Fs and then the Skyline GT-Rs. When all cars are in the pits, the race director will start the race. Once the race starts, all drivers must hold the brakes and wait to be called. Drivers will be called in qualifying order to create the grid; once called, drivers will proceed around the track to the line-up area (light blue). Drivers will line-up in single file, stop and wait for the race to start. Once all drivers have lined up, the race director will give the start signal: START. At this point, the pole sitting driver will slowly drive (maximum 60 mph / 100 km/h) and lead the field to start the race. At the start point (Yellow/orange mark), the leading driver may go full speed; however, overtaking is prohibited until the start line (start of lap 2). Purposefully slowing to hold up drivers behind you before the start is strictly prohibited.
Before the race start, the race director will refer to drivers using abbreviations that consist of the first three alphabetical letters in their PSN.
