You can't compare NFS to GT really, unless GT has a Hot Pursuit option ;)

Just for show, here's an example of how nice it would look like on the computer. This is a demo of a NSX drifting in the Japanese version of GT1. They don't have sim tires in GT1.

Another one, this one with some on-the-fly filterings. Convinced to buy a new computer yet? :D

Actually the graphics on Connectix for that particular NSX demo are comparable...just that the edgs are more jagged...but I'm not sure how to get epsx to work optimally...any suggestions??

About NFS vs GT, I was thinking more about the handling characteristics of the cars...in NFS the cars handle 'funny'...they can't drift and the revs seem to drop very quickly...not to mention that the cars handle all too similarly, just with different speeds and turn radius...in GT at least I can feel the difference in all the drivetrain layouts even with a keyboard :) Testimony to GT's superior physics model...... :D

NFS series are always about arcade styled controls, never meant to go simulation like GT. The cars are not meant to drift either. Plus the Japanese will work themselves to death, the Canadians won't ;)

sny_pher, I just found a method of video capturing your replay directly from your file. ALL COMPUTER, NO PSX OR TV TUNER NEEDED! :D Go find a person who can host your video first, cause it'll take me a while to figure out how to get GT2 to play in epsxe (mod chip problems)...

Prince, how did you get your GT2 to work on an emulator?

HOLY COW I AM ACTUALLY HELPING PEOPLE!!!

Download epsxe v1.40 with the plugins package

and this is my setting

Video:Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.64
Sound: ePSXe SPU core 1.4.0.
Enable sound (Select to enable ADPCM sound)
Enable CDDA Sound (Select to enable CDROM sound)
Cdrom:Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.10
Enable accurate cdrom timing

While setting up, you can click test to see if it is working. After that, you have to restart epsxe in order for your settings to work.

Note: Search yahoo for the PS1 bios and then place it in the bios folder found in the epsxe140 folder.

Thanks Prince.
okay sny_pher. Here's the deal - e-mail me (gwinbeer@hotmail.com) your file - whatever format works, best if it's .mcr although dexdrive should do just fine. Then I'll record your drift video. I don't host, so you'll have to find some people.

Sure! Thanx for the help :)

Emailing u the file now...

As for the drift angle, is that about the most extreme that it can get for that turn, or can it be even tighter?

I'm finished. Took me three hours for the entire capturing and editing process. The end file is 6.61 mb, 1:54 mins. The quality is almost the same as in the PSX version LOL :D

Technically, FFs can do 180s or more. I'm not sure if you put a lot of weight transfer on the front, you can do even more extreme angles.

Anyone can help me out a little here... look at the pics below. FYI Kamui D FC's video is only 5.66mb while the one I made is 6.61... but look at the qualities.

IT JUST DOESN"T MAKE SENSE!!!!!
