I heard about triple screen support on that same video and came here to see if there has been anymore confirmation of this. I guess this is the first time this his has been heard?

I will be shocked if it actually ships with triple screen support instead of it being added later.

there is always triple screen support even in gt5

you just need 3 set of console and 3 pcs of game disc

btw at the discussion thread someone suggest that the rumored neo is powerful enough to run triple screen on its own but from my point of view even if ps4 neo really does have the power to run triple on its own i dont think sony will place 3 hdmi output behind a game console due to production cost just for 1 game. unless it came out with some kind of " ps4 neo Kaz triple screen limited edtion". or every game down the road is gonna use triple screen but i dont see that coming because majority of of player doesnt need it.

If the rumoured specs are true, NEO is only a little over twice as powerful as the PS4. It would be able to run triple screens only if you go down to 720p or reduced the graphics fidelity. The larger problem issue is likely to be, you'll need 3 video outputs in one console and I can't see Sony going to the added expense to satisfy the tiny minority of players that have triple screens. My guess is, if you want triples you're going to need 3 PS4's again.

Maybe Sony could make a piece of hardware that you could attach to your PS4 that has 3 HDMI ports, don't know if it's possible.

It would be cheaper for the gamers , but maybe Sony wouldn't bother.

What? Rather than getting you to buy two more PS4's? Very unlikely indeed.

I had my triple screen setup since end of life of GT6 ,due to the cost of PS3 console and monitor are much more cheaper

Since the triple screen is confirmed, I changed the title and let you guy vote on choice of Triple screen or VR
I personally would prefer triple screen, much more comfortable for long time racing

Me too, but the initial cost is quite a bit more for a triple screen setup than for the VR setup that sony will produce. I imagine Sony will continue to force triple screen players to use 3 ps4's, because they want people to buy the VR - which is what I plan to do.

If the cost was the same I would buy triple screens because they would be more comfortable of the long haul, especially if you wear glasses like me. Ill probably be investing in contact lenses to be able to use the VR though.

another issue is whether the PS4 Neo compatible with PS4, if it does, I might go for a new PS4 Neo , and get another 2nd hand ps4, including current one, I got 3 PS4 totally, and I already got 3 monitor, so the cost can be lower

Considering the VR, how long for playing it and the weight of it will be my main concern, I don't think it's suitable for more than 2 hours playing, especially for me, I got dizzy even playing 1st point of view game

Has the triple sceen option actually been confimed by Sony or PD? Ive not heard this yet (not saying its not true)!

My concern with VR is the motion sickness issues of past, but more so what is the actual peripheral view? I dont think i would be happy with a tunnel view into a 3D VR world?

Try reading post #2. I always worry there is something lost in translation though. Hoping it will be confirmed by a 2nd source.

then you would not be ultilizing the NEO on its high performance, because neo is rumored to have a NEO mode which nobody have any clue what its for but i assume it would be 4k support or if you used a 1080p tv,you would had more eye candy. and i dont think 2 ps4 with 1 ps4 neo would be a nice choice. i would say 3 set of ps4 is the best. Btw Kaz said in a press VR is more of a experience only, if wanna race competitively he would had go for TV. So i think GTS is best run on TY.

Yea. exactly my thoughts too but some member in this forum are like building castle in the air.

I cast my vote for triple screen because we now know that the PS4 and PS4 Pro are apparently not powerful enough to do a full blown VR sim racing experience. If and when we get multi-monitor support for GT Sport, it will undoubtedly use three PS4s which will surely have enough power for each screen at 1080p.

If using 3x old generation PS4, and 3x old generation displays, it will be each screen at 1080p.
If using 3x PS4 Pros, and 3x 4K Ultra HD HDR displays, it will be each screen at 4K HDR.

PS VR:
- 1920x1080 VR display resolution split between two eyes, meaning only 960x1080 per eye
- HDR on VR, no, just SDR
- REC2020 color on VR, no, just REC709 color
- All in-game events/modes, no, just a few limited racing events/modes

If triple screen is going to be supported, predictions are it will be:
- triple 4K (4K resolution per each screen)
- triple HDR, yes, on all 3x screens
- triple REC2020 color, yes, again on all 3x screens
- All in-game events/modes, yes, offline, online, etc

You can't do a lot in VR my friend. Only a couple of races again ONE AI opponent. Nothing online, nothing in the poor campaign.. It's a total rip off. I can imagine lots of people want to buy the VR goggles. I hate te fact thus game is standing in the VR section in the ps store.

VR. Can't afford triple screen and I'm buying a VR so why not. Plus the borders of the monitors are immersion breaking

Since 2012 my setup is already 3x PS3 and 3x Full HD 1080p 60fps non-HDR projectors, which I still use plenty for GT5 and extensively again for GT6.
Projectors mean no borders to break the immersion.
If its supported, now I will be able to use it again for PS4 GT Sport, 3x 1080p, without needing to buy more displays !!!
Since already own an original model PS4 since 2013 launch, and now 1x copy of GT Sport, when GT Sport application suports multi-screen, then the only extra purchase required will just be 2x extra PS4 ($300+$300) and 2x extra GT Sport copies ($60+$60).
PS VR may seem less expensive but its still $400 (you could buy a PS4 Pro with that amount)

My plan is to invest first to complete the 3xPS4 and 3x GT Sport setup, that later also invest on the PS VR kit.

Eventually, 2018 - 2019, I will have both setups completed (triple or VR), just a matter of time and budget prioritization queues.

Also, 3x PS4 will be usefull for an upcoming "GT Sport 2" title, using the same 3x 1080p 60fps projectors that served me for GT5 + GT6 + GT Sport.
Nice return of investment : )

Is there other games that support the Triple Screen feature? I already own a PS4 Pro, camera, and Move controllers so all I need is the VR itself. I do want to get Dirt Rally and see how that is.

For others considering triple screen, you may not find monitor borders to be immersion-breaking. My setup has 3 TVs with 2 inch (5 cm) border width and I really don't notice them when driving. It's kind of like not noticing the pillars in a real car. That said, "narrow" is definitely good!

Since 2012 ... which I still use plenty for GT5 and extensively again for GT6.

Sure can be a great long term investment. I used mine for Forzas 1,2,3 and 4, followed by GT5 and GT6. They were only 720p TVs with an 8ms refresh (and not-so-perfect borders as I mentioned above). However the immersion was fantastic. Too good for some people who got motion sickness!

I have had Dirt Rally a few days and can't see any multi-screen setting. Reviews say the PS VR experience is very good.

So, how is VR working in GT Sports?

Good question! I want to know if a PS VR player can race against a non-VR player online.

Bottom line, I may or may not reassemble my triple screen system for GTS when the support arrives.

My first step will be the new, updated PS VR (the one which supports HDR pass through) when it comes out.

There are a bunch of appealing VR games for PS4 that I will try out. Also, I have downsized, so it's harder for me to find the space to resurrect triple screen.

I gave up on Sony and PSVR a long time ago. Considering that GT sport was supposed to come out 1 year ago, and the reviews for PSVR have been like warm due to the lack of processing power of the PS4, it seems Sony and gtsport keep promising that it will work but then can't deliver. So I decided to invest in a proper PC and the oculus Rift.

I realized I was done playing SimCade's and wanted to become more serious and the only way to do that was on the pc. I have no regrets.

Psvr not suporting fully gts in all modes is big question for psvr. Its fun to just try couple cars and racers, but with just 2 cars on tracks its same as drive against your ghost.
And bad that ps4 pro gives nothing special for psvr. Could they make 4 cars on track for ps4 pro or even more modes.

On pc side desktop that runs well project cars 2 is not that expencive. And for start on vr side you can go very cheap with oculus dk2 model.

So, how is VR working in GT Sports?

VR only works from the special VR menu. You get VR garage, which is not true VR and you cannot look over the car like VR on the PC.

The VR racing is against 1 opponent for 1 or 2 lap races and the opponent is so nerfed you will pass them in turn 1 on the Nurburgring.

It was a complete disappointment, I bought the VR set just for GT:S. Took it back (once for replacement) and then again finally returned for refund yesterday.

I had hoped to be able to hotlap with the VR, no such chance unfortunately.

No, see above.

I hope not too many people will be dispointed by the limitations of VR with GTS, I was expecting it would be a door to VR for SIM racers, as the genre is a perfect match for virtual reality. With XBox offering nothing and PS4 apparently very limited, it looks like the only way into VR at the moment is PC.
C’est la vie!

Agreed, I have had thoughts of having to cash in my gear for a pc setup to get a sensible circuit racer in VR. GTS could be a really great experience with a little refinement, skill level adjustment, seat adjustment, choice of laps and these are just simple implementations. Additional AI opponents would be ideal, even if more were only available on the Pro.

It really needs looking at.
