I hate when people use it, I even left an online event today because the host was going to allow it.
just out of curiosity... why'd you leave?
i mean, i get that Skid Recovery Force more or less "magicly" finds traction when there is none unless the loss of control is really severe... but why would you leave the room if the host is allowing it?
i'm assuming here, but since you don't like Skid Recovery Force my guess is you're pretty good without it. and let's say, just for arguement's sake, that i'm not. and we find ourselves in the same race lobby.
with SKR turned to "off" by the host, i'm going to be little or no competition for you.
with it set to "on", i have the option of turning SKR on for myself... which would then make me more competitive.
the former situation, you would win easily but wouldn't get near as much satisfaction out of it because it's basicly a no-contest. the latter, however, provides you with a more thrilling race because i would be able to keep up with you.
it just seems to me that a person using the Skid Recovery assist would provide a level of competition you likely wouldn't have otherwise.
online multiplayer, as i understand it, is more fun if there's a higher number of competitive matches.
that's why the CoD games are so successful. the playing field is level, so more people get a higher level of enjoyment out of it, extending the life of the online multiplayer part of the game.
