oh and is it true that you cant play japanese games on Uk tv's unless its HDMI? i was thinking of buying the sony AV>Components as it still supports 1080p. what would you guys recommend?

hdmi or av>components?

hdmi = less messy wiring
component = more tvs have it

quality wise they are fairly much the same. you might find slightly different colours between the two but that depends on the tv and what you are connecting.

if your tv is old then you may have a problem between ntsc/pal (not sure what jpn uses and what the uk uses) if your tv is fairly recent then you have nothing to worry about.

First off Hi. What a informative & friendly site you have here..

I have a 10 year old Toshiba tv & all the ps3 games that i have run with no problems at all, including gt5 prologue. Running through component.

I know, i know, i should really get a hdtv but i'm skint..lol
