That was the idea, but since no one is really following, then just run whichever bikes you want, from the 600 class that is, but still... Next time, try to keep to the same bike...Geo, it's your time to post the track, feel free to share it with us so the test-riding begins.

No, that's not what I meant. I meant in the game to get the 2-4 plates...
I figure that's the only way...

Shoot, if you told me that before, I'd have run Suzuka with the GSX-R

Well boys, saddle up and throw her in gear, we're going to The Ring!!!:yuck:

the ring? if i find a patence ill finally get around to finding that sub 7 minute lap with a 600rm 👍

A sub 7 with a 600? I haven't seen anyone come close on anything under 1000... and I've looked everywhere I can think of...

For a second there... I thought we were heading to Motegi Ring.. but then... Nurb came to mind... So I'll hit the track hard today in the afternoon, got a couple things to do...

Stupid Question:

Is there a way to get #'s 2-4?

That's easy, come in 2nd,3rd, or 4th in a championship. If you win, you get to change the bike's number to 1 if you want to, but if you end up in any other place you get the option of changing the bike's number to the place you came in. First time I ran the 600RM championship I came in second on the R6 RM, and it now wears a number 2. Ran it a second time with the Ninja Zx-6R RM, won, and changed the number from 65 to 1.

So if you wanted to number your favorite RMs 1-5, you'll have to place in the number's respective position in points when it's all said and done in a championship that the bike fits into. Obviously you can't change the numbers on the 8hr bikes or the #100 Honda, but all the rest of them have some sort of championship that they can be a part of where you can give them a 1-4 number based on how you place.

Not all that hard to do either, just race as many races as you need and win only what you need to get whatever place you want (though to get the 4th plate I think you might actually have to finish each race in 4th place or just end up 4th overall, can't just DNF each one to the end, but I'm not 100% sure about that.)
:)👍
Have fun!

EDIT: Just wanted to say I don't think it's a stupid question at all. If you're that good (or you abandon a championship when you're not winning), you never encounter the option of changing your bike number to anything other than 1.

my 600rm times:
7'02.085 - ZX-6R RM
7'03.946 - CBR600RR RM
7'05.899 - YZF-R6 RM
7'06.419 - GSX-R600 RM

for laughs:
7'03.398 - TZ250

i can deffently lower the yamaha and suzukis times. ive raced with 750F-RM at another forum, he knows im honest about my times 👍

cockpit view/manual/pro-mode.

indeed, es is legit :) 👍

i dug this out for you geo - <7 at Nurb', Triumph Daytona RM

that time is by a guy called callaghan at MotoGP Boards

it's an ntsc replay, so maybe you could give it the dazzle treatment so i can finally see it?

tia geo :)

ps. to the ring it is then. it's a bit of a killer, but it feels so good when it goes well :D

Yeah, when I get the chance I'll load it up and make a replay for you to see. Also, I guess I'd better be hitting this track hard. And just in case anyone is still wondering, yes, it is Nurburgring. And yes, it's a pain in the ass, but it's so rewarding when you run a nice clean lap.

You mean I have to lose races to get those numbers? wow, that's a real killer, but I guess if I'm doing it on purpose, it will still count for something.

Is it just my game, or is no one else able to get two R6's or anything else for that matter?

Well... That's odd, since you can get all three R6s(( Blue, Red, and Black )) if you are talking about the stock versions... Each bike has different colors, so you can get all colors. Though your gonna need to run the challenge with each color of the bike that you want... You can't run it once, and get all colors...

Oh well... Nurburgring it is... This is gonna be a harsh week...

you can only get one version of his race bike.

geo - TT doesnt keep track of win percentage like gt4 does. but, 100% win rate means nothing if youve to reset your ps2 to keep it.

I've never reset my system. But I have lost races, just not championships...

Yeah, that's true... Man.. I started practice laps and I honestly say, that I can't go round the Nurb, without falling 1 time... I mean.. so many bumps without any warning is just driving me crazy...Had to soften my suspension...It's driving me nuts... when I complete 1 clean lap... I'll let you know... I'm gonna put on some music to relax

I just managed a clean lap, it was a 7'31:***... *sighs*... Kept working on the course and getting more confidence round corners, and took it down to 7'25:*** on the following lap... although it's gonna get hard from here... I'll take it slow, like, steps, today, I just want to get the course written into my mind... Otherwise I'm fried...

I hope to be on the lower 10s by tomorrow... Still... I'm running the Kawasaki ZX-6R RM... so I guess it's not the best responsive bike among the 600s... but I love Kawi... God I've had to play around with the tunning of the bike..

I just sneaked in a 7'22... and I can go much faster, it's just that these damn bumps keep taking me down... any advice? I already messed with the suspension but I'm not very familiar with this track's settings...

geo - i wasnt saying you were, just stating that there are people who do.

eternal - you want to go as soft as possible here to handle the bumps and then adjust your form to get the handling back. i normally keep my preload (ride height) mid to high range here. try to keep the preload at pretty even or other wise the front will either shake you off the bike or the rear will break lose and youll fly off track.

try to keep your top speed around the 200mph zone for 600s. i think the r6 tops out around 205.

I'll attempt to use a better ride style than the one used in Suzuka, and I'll tweak the suspension a bit more... The ZX-6R tops out at around 209, 210 if I push it... The part where you have to make a slight left, I tend to slow down before it to prevent the bump there...

Update: I can now run 19s, though It's becomming a problem to keep up with the ghost so I might end up turning it off anyways... ((That's what I tend to do, since I sometimes try to race the ghost, instead of the course, and screw up)). I still can get to the 15s... but it's hard to not screw up at least 1 time on this course... I'm not that great on courses with too many corners, eventually, I'll screw up somewhere... I wonder if ya'll are hitting the laps... No one's really posted much tonight...

just asking but is it too late to entre this competition?
I wouldn't have much laptimes i can do cause i can only race during the weekends but i'd stil liked to entre

Of course not, feel free to join our series, we're currently doing practice runs on Nurburgring((SP?)). The actual lap times will be posted from Sunday through Tuesday.

Honestly, I'm not that great at the Ring, but I want to keep trying harder and get better... It's just for fun, though it's very difficult... This round, I'll take a more layed back approach, since I honestly doubt I'll be able to reach the low 10s.

You mean I have to lose races to get those numbers? wow, that's a real killer, but I guess if I'm doing it on purpose, it will still count for something.
Yes, that is what I mean, lol. It really isn't all that bad. Win one race, lose the rest or just exit after the race starts, and you're probably going to be in 3rd place maybe. And that's it. You've got at least three races to figure out what place you should finish each race to guarantee the spot you want. It'd probably take you an hour at the most to get the numbers you want for the bikes that can enter that particular championship.

For all of the guys that want to join in now...

I'd be all for you laying times down for the other tracks as well if you got them in before the deadline of this weeks run...

Of course, as long as everyone else is okay with it...

Preliminay, I got a low 7'19:163 , I'll keep at it...

P.S. If you guys that want to join, do manage to put in your times for the 1st and 2nd stage, before this week's deadline((Tuesday Midnight)), then it's all good. If not, then just join for the sake of it, you can spoil someone's 1st place still...

ello all :) 7:10 for me at the moment, which is a pb for me on a 600rm at nurb'

i've been >3secs ahead of that ghost before losing it :banghead:
