I went on hiatus from GT6 for a while and when I came back, I couldn't get my AE86 to shift. I read somewhere that it must be set to a regular transmission for H-pattern but I swear you could use H-pattern with custom transmissions before. Am I crazy?!

Here is my update to the post ^.

A few cars I just verified that FCT works with H-shifter and clutch.
Lambo Miura, '95 Cappuccino, '04 Integra Type R (DC5), Honda S2000 '06.

I have seen various posts on GTP that this affects all standard cars.
Please note, two of the cars listed above are premium, two are standard.

The incorrectly modeled transmissions have been present since GT6's launch version.
Many of the cars affected did not have this issue in GT5.

Have also verified issue with FCT/H-shifter/clutch combo not affected by clutch type installed.
Some race cars equipped with only FCT have same issue, even though IRL had H/clutch.
There are even cars with no H-shifter/clutch IRL that GT6 lets you use H-shifter clutch on.

See this old post I did on v.1.07 undocumented changes thread for more info.
To my knowledge there's no GT6 thread that aggregates/lists all incorrectly modeled trans.

I thought about creating one, but doing it right would be pretty time consuming...
...and GT6 clutch does not seem to have many fans, so I never did it.

Quick n' dirty way to test if clutch/H-shifter work with a car's trans is...
leave stick in 1st, if clutch works, rev-limiter goes insane on test drive's rolling start.

 :banghead:

Verification done with a T500RS/base's static paddles removed/paddle-less GT rim/TH8RS.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I honestly wish PD had just made it so that every type worked with H-shifting since it's not like it gives an unfair advantage and honestly, just about any regular car can have a custom tranny with H-shifting. I could maybe understand F1 machines and the like, but certainly not lower end cars like this.
