Dahlbacks AWD, VW body with an audi 20 valve turbo engine. I seen this in person and it was great....wicked fast.

I made a replica of this car down to HP, weight, and colour as far as i could. I even kept it as a NA.

ps: thats the monaro... no ferarris in the game... :dunce:

Aussie V8s rock.

That would be awesome, but it's so different from the actual Golf, it'd be hellishly difficult. Unique engine (it's not just a Audi... it's an Audi with one cylinder shaved off!), different weight and weight distribution, cf... AND 900 hp... that'd be a real challenge.

i've done the NSX from best motoring touge max and also the Prelude from touge 280. i will post em in a few hours after i get some sleep. I searched the internet and best motoring vids to get the suspension settings just right.

Those thumbnails are pretty cool, Kent.

I built the JUN Auto Mechanic Prelude in the first picture. I bought a white one(car doesn't come in yellow), added a white wing(no yellow wing), and white Advan RCs(instead of gold). Kinda of an alternate color scheme.

I've got an Tsuchiya AE86 Trueno from the 3rd pic.

I've got a bunch from the 4th. The Kei Office S15, Spirits MR-S, Yashio Factory S15, Ridox Supra, KSP Engineering NSX, Matchless Crowd Racing R34 GT-R, and Fujita Engineering kouki RX-7.

I don't have Kazumi Kondo, though.

just so youre on the lookout, the prelude is available in yellow...there were 2 diff models, one was the SiR and cant remember the other, they were both in there in used room #2 on the same day

There is a Prelude SiR with 197hp, and a Prelude Type S with 216hp, but I don't think they are the right model. The generation of Prelude that JUN tuned is called the Si VTEC(I think) and since it's like a 1991 or something, it only shows up in the #1 room.

here is a replicationof the light tuned MCR s2000 featured on Best motoring: touge 280.

http://gtplanet.net/forum/showthrea...695#post1826695
i got as close to the RL car as possible with information from videos and internet.

Cool. I never got to see the Touge Showdown with MCR's S2000. How much power did it have? All I know is that the Amuse S2000 beat it.

I built replicas of the CRX and S2000 by J's Racing. I'll post 'em up later.

the light tuned MCR S2000 has about 260hp but it is much faster due to a tighter final gear and more sporty suspension and a small power boost. Its much faster than the 2004 s2000 just like in best motoring's comparison of the mcr s2000 based on an older model compared to the to the year 2003 s2000...

BTW. where the hell did my avatar go???

YEAH!.. THE KING OF THE 24 HOUR MOUNTAIN (BATHURST)..
It beat the rest of the world there!!..

I think I may make this one too!! :sly:

But, I must say, the thing is a Racecar. Not a Road Production car modified to race. With its 7 litre C5R engine (notice the number 427 which is its CC, which Australia hasn't used to identify engine size in decades), 7(??) Speed sequential tranny, it blitzed the rest of the world not only at Bathurst, but in the Nations Cup too!. The last, and only, time a Monaro won at Bathurst was in 1969 when Colin Bond and Tony Phillips drove their GTS350 Monaro to victory.

http://www.fast-autos.net/holden/holdenhrt427.html
http://www.supercars.net/cars/2484.html

From memory, correct me if I'm wrong, the Monaro's were able to lap The Mountain at a similar, if not faster, pace (2min flat) than the V8Supercars which is why competitors were complaining that the Monaro was a pure race car and not a production modified race car. In my opinion Holden wanted to do anything to win for its Monaro come back. The last Monaro was built in the early 70's .

The nations cup being the premier production racing series in OZ where cars over 100k(AU$) can enter and only be modified with parts within the same company. Hence, Holden using their GM connection, used a 7 litre Corvette race engine as opposed to the 5.7 LS1 Corvette sourced engine Holden uses in all their V8's. Two Monaro's, one Yellow and one Red driven by the legendary Peter Brock who is the undissputed King of the Mountain with 9 victories, all were at the annual Bathurst 1000(km) Touring Car event. The competition in the Nations Cup Series: Lambo Diablo, Ferrari 360, Porche's, Viper, NSX and R34 GTR (not really competitive, but they was there :dopey: )

Actually, I think only HSV (Holden Special Vehicles: Clubsport's and Coupes (HSV Monaro that they don't call a Monaro known to Europeans as the VXR Monaro. yeah it's stupid!)) gets the Corvette prepped V8, modified by HSV of course, where as the Holden's (Monaro's,SS) get a base model V8 from GM which they, too, modify.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bathurst_1000
link to previous Bathurst 1000 winners. Though Holden dominated The Mountain, notice a few Ford's (mainly Falcon's or FPV GT or Typhoon to GT4 fans) Cortina (the first 3 winners) and Sierra's, and BMW 320.

And then there's the all mighty R32 GTR winning in '92 and '93 (After blitzing the field 4WD Turbo's were banned from the Global Group A Class formula unto which the ATTC had been using and the car was nicknamed 'Godzilla') driven by Mark Skaife, another Legendary Holden driver with five Australian Touring Car/V8Supercar (name changed when OZ decided they only liked V8's :sly: ) Championships and four Bathurst Victories.

His Co-Pilot was Jim Richards, who is regarded by some to be one of the greatest Touring Car or Targa drivers in the world! He doesn't race in Touring cars anymore, (he's in his 50's! and yet he still won at Bathurst with Skaife in 2002, his third Bathurst victory with Skaifey and 7th overall. 3 other victories with Brockey. And, if you're wondering, his nick name is 'Richo'.. lol) well not full time anyways and, it looks like, he has decided to stick to his Porches.

He drives in the Australian Porche Cup series and races his Porches at Targa Tasmania which he has won 7 in the last 10 years, and at Hill Climbs around the world, but mainly in Australia and New Zealand (born kiwi but oz owned. like Russell Crowe hahha). 'Richo' is a tough SOB that you gotta love.

From the link:

"The 1992 victory was particularly controversial. Already disliked by the parochial Bathurst crowd, the race was stopped after a huge storm caused a number of crashes, including that of the leading Skyline. The race was awarded to the Skyline (Richo and Skaifey) who had led the lap previous to the race halt, much to the vocal displeasure of the crowd. Richards memorably called the crowd "a pack of arseholes" from the winner's podium."

Note that the link doesn't show 12HR races at Bathurst where the Mazda Series 6 Rx7 SP won multiple times and why Mazda built a 'Bathurst' edition in honour of their victory. Winning Bathurst was a big deal for Mazda for it proved that the Rotory Engine was capable of beating much larger engined cars and also proved that the Rotory could be built to be a long and reliable engine, which the Rotory had long been criticised.👍

A little history of the Rotory in motorsport.. 12hr Bathurst victories 92-94. 12 hr Eastern Creek victory in 95..

Yes, I'm pissed that there are no Series 1-3 Rx7's in the game and also, there are no Rx3's or Rx4's which raced against Celicas and Skylines and Z's in Japanese Touring series' of that era..

thx for your 1 cent camaro :)

please contribute something usefull to the thread thats on topic and stop worrying about your post count.

my replica of the Zonda 2005 F

take a Zonda C12 (because of the one long spoiler)
add NA stage 2
add sports brakes
add sports exhaust
add sports brakes
add semi racing suspension
add the chip and the port polish, etc
arrive at around 600hp

take a picture, go to photoshop, mess around, and you have something that looks like this;

yeah. i did the Jun prelude a loooong time ago :). Mine has 270 hp and stock weight. With n2 tires, it can get around Amalfi at 2'25.1. I tried to get it as close to reality as usual so it should be running a bit faster.... I'll get working on it again. :)

Actually, 427 would mean Cubic inches (CI) not Cubic Centimetres (CC) a 427cc engine would be smaller than a 0.5L enigne, so its 427 cubic inches, not centimetres, sorry, i had to do it

it sux how us americans use different units than most of the rest of the world... so sometimes things get confusing.

Hey Im american too, i only know cc's haha, ci confusizes me

yeah. I am used to telling car weight in KG and not lb. and cc for engines too.

I think its almost ptless just posting engine parts and other mods. suspension settings are very important and shouldnt be ignored when posting tuner cars. gear ratios are too.

While I do not believe gear ratios are important in this because of how they may need to change from track to track, I do believe settings are important.

Actually, my original intention in this thread was to post parts list and settings, then have as many people as possible test those settings and give feed back.

It was the Carbon-R that made me think about it.
That car's default semi-race suspension gives you an amazing 3.5/2.0 camber.

I noticed that and thought to myself, each cars needs its own settings.
The tuned cars we create need their own settings too...

Specific downforce, camber, spring rate and shock absorber settings will make the difference between the random tuned street car and a memorable user-created tuner.👍

Since we are finally getting to this point in the thread there are 3 cars I'm going to post parts list for.
After that hopefully we can all take a few test runs and see what the "ideal" settings are for say, motegi east and the ring? :sly:

My two favorite tracks. :trouble:

with the s2000, tighter gears will improve performance on all tracks. i am talking about just raising the final gear a bit. suspension is more important for most cars.

Nice work on the Zonda F. I was planning on doing that too.

I tried making a Porsche Carrera GT replica out of a RUF 3400S. It didn't really work out the way I wanted.

1. I got a black 3400S. Easiest way to hide the body differences, and most CGTs I've seen are black.
2. Tuned it to the maximum of 515hp() with a Stage 3 NA Tune, Port Polish, etc.
3. Got the last wheels(RP03??) in Enkei's section.
4. Stage 2 weight reduction to try and get the CGT's power to weight.
5. Ran into a snag with tuning. I'm all thumbs when it comes to MRs. I tried an NSX setup I had, and it didn't really hit the spot.

I had better success with building an Evo VIII MR FQ400 and a RenaultSport Megane Trophy. I tested them at the 'Ring, and my full-weight 410hp FQ400 ran in the mid 7-minute range(couldn't get a clean lap in). The Megane made me proud; with only 222hp and a stage 1 Lightweight, it ran in the mid 8-minute range. Both were on S3 tires.

If anyone's interested, I'll post settings for them.

Okay, I got on the PS2 and copied down more of my cars and settings. All cars have racing suspension, racing brakes and triple-plate clutch/racing flywheel/carbon fiber driveshaft unless otherwise noted.

Diamond Silver MetallicPowerhouse Amuse Fairlady Z-349hp
Note: The real car had a non-adjustable wing. The look of a GT Wing was way off. I happened to look around, and the NISMO Fairlady S-Tune Concept has a near identical wing, along with a similar lip, sideskirts and a rear diffuser. The settings are for this car.
Mods: Racing Exhaust, Sports Chip, NA Stage 1, 2-way LSD, Stage 1 Lightweight.
Spring Rate 13.5/10.5
Ride Height 53/58
Shock Bound 4/5
Shock Rebound 8/7
Camber Angle 2.0/1.0
Toe Angle 0/0
Stabilizers 4/5
Brake Bias 6/5

White Mine's Evo VII RS-370hp
Note: The car featured in Togue Showdown Max was really an RS model. However, Mine's had installed AYC. To include AYC, you'll need to get a GSR model instead.
Mods: Semi-Race Exhaust, Sports Chip, Stage 1 Turbo, Stage 1 Lightweight, Original Suspension.
Spring Rate 10.5/11.5
Ride Height 86/91
Shocks 6/8
Camber Angle 2.0/0.8
Toe Angle -1/0
Stabilizers 5/6
Brake Bias 6/5
VCD 10
AYC 30

Sparkling Silver NISMO R34 Skyline GT-R Z-Tune-509hp
Note: This car is pretty basic, a modded V-Spec Nur. The real Z-Tune had weight saving measures, but the chassis stiffening and tougher components keep the weight pretty much stock. The real car does not have a GT wing, either. The settings were made with these 'handicaps' in mind.
Mods: Stage 2 Turbo, Port Polish, Engine Balancing, Displacement Up.
Spring Rate 12.0/13.0
Ride Height 96/101
Shock Bound 5/6
Shock Rebound 6/7
Camber Angle 2.0/1.0
Toe Angle -1/0
Stabilizers 3/4
Brake Bias 8/7
VCD 10

Brilliant Blue Kei Office S15-348hp/Sparkling Silver Yashio Factory S15-400hp
Note: These two S15s are both nice cars, but have different characters. The Kei Office car is more stable. The Yashio Factory car lacks a wing(downforce settings), has more power and is has a tailhappy nature.
Mods(Kei Office): Semi-Race Exhaust, Sports Chip, Port Polish, Sports Intercooler, Stage 3 Turbo, 2 Way LSD, GT Wing.
Spring Rate 14.5/9.0
Ride Height 96/101
Shock Bound 5/7
Shock Rebound 6/7
Camber Angle 2.0/1.0
Toe Angle 0/0
Stabilizers 4/5
Brake Bias 6/5
Downforce 30/25

Yellow JUN Prelude Si VTEC-268hp
Note: The real car is yellow with gold Advan RC wheels and a yellow GT wing. Since there's no yellow car, I got creative and used a white car with white Advan RCs and a white wing.
Mods: Race Exhaust, Sports Chip, Stage 1 NA, Port polish, Engine Balancing, Stage 1 Lightweight.
Spring Rate 8.8/11.2
Ride Height 106/111
Shock Bound 5/7
Shock Rebound 7/8
Camber Angle 1.0/0.5
Toe Angle 0/0
Stabilizers 3/4
Brake Bias 5/6
Downforce 30/25

Purplish Grey Mica Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ400-410hp
Note: The real car doesn't have any significant weight saving saving measures over the standard MR, and neither does mine. No GT wing, either.
Mods: Semi-Race Exhaust, Sports Chip, Port Polish, Engine Balancing, Stage 1 Turbo, Sports Intercooler.
Spring Rate 10.0/11.5
Ride Height 102/107
Shock Bound 5/6
Shock Rebound 6/7
Camber Angle 1.5/0.8
Toe Angle -1/0
Stabilizers 3/4
Brake Bias 6/5
VCD 10
AYC 30

nice.. :) but you didnt get some of the settings correct. the suspensions settings for a lot of em dont match up to the real cars. :indiff:

What's incorrect?

Edit-Oh, that. Well, I didn't know a lot of the setting for the real cars. Sometimes Best Motoring would show spring rates, and that's about it.

I just tried to go with what would drive better in the game. I doubt every car has a racing flywheel or a triple plate clutch, either. The R34 Z-Tune actually has 1.5-Way LSDs, but in GT4, awd cars seem to drive better with no LSD at all.

if you have touge max and touge 280, it would save me the trouble of typing them all out :).

for the jun the suspension is supposed to be 14f,18r, and 9 for the front and rear for the kei office car. i made a few of the cars you have listed already with data i gained off the web and videos.

i copied the settings directly for the MCR and Jun cars and they seemed to handle well. cornering is much better than stock anyways.

👍
You've got a bunch of stuff right in this post. 👍

In my opinion there is no need to try matching up settings to the real life cars simply because that may end up being detrimental to the car's performance.

What would you rather have, accurate settings relative to the r/l counter-parts or settings that make the cars handle as well in GT as they do in real life?

I'll take a well tuned in-game car before an overly accurate replication of the real life counter-part.

well, a lot of the tuner cars arent perfect. I can easily change a few of my settings for the MCR s200 i made to handle better. but then it wouldnt be the MCR tuned s200, would it? it'd be the gabkicks s2000. 💡

The problem I have is that not all of the settings are shown for the cars. That means I can't tune the game car to accurately reflect the real car because I don't have all the information.

For example, take weight. The Amuse Z33 is lighter by 120kg, due to carbon fiber body parts. The Stage 1 Lightweight in the game brings weight down by a little more. Is that going to really bug me? No. Since lightweight body parts are used for the Stage 2 Lightweight, does that mean I'll get it too? Not necessarily, since that would throw off the weight I wanted for the car.

The MCR GT-R has 600hp, and 650hp with scramble boost. Well, there's no scramble boost feature in the game. I could just tune the car up to 650hp, but it still wouldn't be the same. Instead, my car has 596hp(closest I could get to 600hp), and a 54hp shot of nitrous.

I'm just trying to get close to real life, but still make it enjoyable in the game. That's all.
