Trust me we're not all that fast. You'll have plenty of us to run with.
Wins is one of those guys that can jump in any car and be fast on any track.
A great guy to learn from and he'll help any of us. He keeps no secrets.

Don't worry about the lap times being posted here. You just need to race your race as best you can. You will finish where you finish. With time and practice the average position you finish in will be higher. That is the same as it was with all of us. The main thing is don't quit, not even a single race.

True when I first started I was a perpetual back marker in division 3, but worked my way up to getting promoted to division 2.
 
Should be a ton of fun. I look forward to it. I just want to keep it on track for the entire race. It really needs baby'd when the tires begin to fall off. I was practicing yesterday a bit and just used my fast lap ghost to chase, not overtake. That helped get comfortable being behind something. I hope to be on later.

Exactly, just keep it on the track. No matter how slow or fast you are, you still have to keep it on the track to do well. So, you might as well start now. 👍
 
Oh yes yes, how wonderful, finally a racing league for GT5, that isn't stupid, or run by 6 year old apes PLEASE PLEASE sign me up for this. my psn ID is kartingkid21.

I may not be able to attend all the races due to work schedules, and my car collection only being around 450, division A if possible. If not then Ill be happy racing any division, just let me know =)

Hey karting kid, choose an unused rim/car color combination and unused number from the list near the original post (op) and that's it! Division A is with aids like traction control. If your comfortable driving without tc div 3 would be the way to go.. Welcome buddy!

Had to go eat and leave for work. Goin to mow my dads grass tomorrow and then head out fishing after, then Friday is gonna be busy too. I might try and swing in for the flex race but I doubt it

It doesn't matter about the size of your garage.We use all premium cars so their always available.
 
Ahh,figured out why I was prohibited when I tried to enter practice.
I bought this car back in feb. was in my garage sitting there at1/0/0.
So at 0 miles on car I assumed I was good to go.Upon inspection of the tuning sheet I saw that I had decided to put a chassis reinforcement on it back in feb. and then never drive it till now.
No wonder it under steered so bad. Leason learned. If car is sitting in garage inspect the tuning sheet before assuming its still stock.
Bought a new one bob is breaking it in right now.
By the way great racing guys.

Oh didn't realize you were running the TVR, doh. FR I run 3/1, 3/0 on Sports tires and Race tires 4 or at most 5 in front. Rarely 2 in rear. It's really what you're comfortable with, main issue with ABS 0 is lockup at low speeds. I like to use most of my pedal so I run low settings.

Do you really think its any faster? Or is it just one of those things a person could tell himself"I don't use any aids at all" just curious.
 
I think if you're good enough, less aids allow one to manipulate the car more dependent upon situation. Some vehicle tendency's may not be "in the cards" [if you will] when using aids. However, it's a fine line and a learned skill to get car to do stuff just over the edge on command under control without hacking it up everywhere. Is it faster? Maybe if one is in the top 0.5%. Is it equal?... I'm sure it is for those who put in the effort.

Good luck! It changes the game. That's for sure.

@Randy when you run no aids, each car has different characteristics that even 1 abs hides. When I first started with a ds3 in feb, I immediately started with 0 aids because that's how I drove in Forza. I kept locking up the brakes just by tapping them, and gave up. Then I got used to abs 1 and slamming the brake pedal all the way down. You can still have a 0 abs effect with 1 abs, except the cars won't have the 0 aids characteristics. In my opinion, 0 abs will only benefit someone that can trail brake, but you can still trail brake with 1 abs and not have the wheel lock ups.

Is it worth it? Could be. Can people be faster with 0 abs? It's possible if your braking style is right. But it won't be by very much.

Disclaimer: this is all my personal opinion.

Agreed. Until I added some resistance to my pedal it was impossible.

Is it faster? Not for an inexperienced ABS 0 driver, no way. Trying to learn ABS 0 while everyone else is running the brake assist would no doubt be difficult.

What's the point then? A richer driving experience.

Only a few are, I believe racingotaku86 is still using a controller, and a couple more, but I'm not sure who in pitcular, I, myself am using a g27 with a playseat evolution. Which is great!

I'm using a G27 on an Obutto oZone with a MLG monitor.

Yes I do and otaku and dolph I know do. Dolph and otaku are very fast with the ds3.
 
I used ds3 for two years before i got my DFGT. I was faster on ds3, but not as consistent and a poor pack driver. I'm now faster with the wheel, but only because I lost my "chops" on the ds3 from lack of use. Cars that used to be hard to drive are so much easier now, but getting that "ultimate lap" is a little bit harder since I could be wild and recover easier with a ds3.

I will forever use the wheel from now on, but simply because I enjoy it better.

phish and socket are correct, I do use a controller. Whether or not that's a good thing is up to others, but its how I roll with it. I would like to get a wheel someday, but for now, my DS3 is my method of attack.
