phish and socket are correct, I do use a controller. Whether or not that's a good thing is up to others, but its how I roll with it. I would like to get a wheel someday, but for now, my DS3 is my method of attack.

You're D1 quick, and win your fair share of races. That's more than good enough for me!! I hate dealing with you, lol. (Said with love). The rare chance I get to make a pass on you still leaves me having to deal with you the whole race. Until the last 2 laps of race two last night we were running dead even. If I didn't have the 8 second buffer from no traffic, it would have been interesting. Instead, I was able to get off the throttle for the last 2 laps and relax.

I've only ever played casually. I had the original DF years ago (PS2 days) but got rid of that and never upgraded. Didn't really have a sturdy way to mount it and didn't really play enough to justify getting too in depth with it. If I ever get a bigger house and get my man cave it will more than likely include a complete cockpit, just for fun more than anything really. Do the wheel/pedal guys use the clutch or do you prefer sequential?

I, myself use the clutch on some turns. Comes in very nicely though. But usually ill do my braking first on the straight away, then pop in the clutch let it roll, then when I feel the car will make it, ill shift down and floor it, so I'm coming fast out of the turn.
 
I never use the clutch. It's very unrealistic in gt5. The way I drive into the corners, I can't afford to have it pop into neutral.
 
Just to triple check since I was out last week, we're only RM'ing the car, right? No further upgrades?

I was using Choates numbers and colors until he came back xD that's fine though. I'll just stick with the colors. And run random numbers in races since all my usuals are taken

You know, after I asked Psycho and ph7shr if I was fast after the F1 race (which I didn't race, but popped in to say hi), ph7shr said that not only was I fast, but some D2 guys are trying out the lines I use to improve their own. I never really thought that the new drivers would study my lines and techniques. The thought humbles me quite a bit... Well, I can't let you guys down. Thanks for the complements, and thank you, ph7shr.

Hey raymann... read the original post on this thread and follow the instructions to get signed up. Once you follow the instructions one of the league admins will send all the proper friend requests. Races are run in a private lounge so you will need these requests in order to run. Welcome aboard and hope to see you on the track!!

We race in private lounges. We would send you PSN Turtle FRs for them. Just accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races. To join the lounge click on the COMMUNITY tab which is below GTLIFE and PROFILE on the GT Home Page and select the appropriate Turtle account, then click on the Coffee Cup, then click join.

Should be able to make the tyro and enduro races tonight. Got a short day at work unless they tack on another load when I get back.
Got the tvr breaking in right now.

Better watch out for Phisher, he's getting quick.

Regarding Controller and ABS... My two cents.

I use a controller and I tried no abs. it was crazy! Locked up wheels. My opinion is if you are using a controller use abs because the ds3 is sensitive but not that sensitive. Now onto abs. I have been in races online where some one loaded up on abs and smoked the field because of the increased grip in cornering. I think abs is very useful and like everything else it has to be adjusted for the situation. In real life, cars and some motorcycles have it so I don't see why you wouldn't use it. Just remember that what you gain in cornering grip you lose in short stopping power. I used to only use abs 1 now after watching that car I mentioned I have increased it a lot depending on the track. It was really effective in the nascar special events. I feel that I would not have been able to gold all of them without increasing beyond abs1. sorry for the long rant.
btw, what about the different custom wheels in gt auto?
 
I was so looking forward to racing with you all, until I looked through my games and realized...I left gt5 at my friends apartment! :( sigh....I will be able to reacquire my copy in 2 weeks or so, so please don't forget about me :)

Doesn't matter which one you roll with. Just need to let psycho tuber know what color car and color wheels and number that is available to use.

I was actually curious about the effects of the different wheels (not steering wheels) on the cars handling etc.
