Storming here. My satellite internet is out so I can't get to practice. Is there anyway for someone who saved the practice race replay to send it to me somehow. Those replays help a ton. Thanks

While I like driving the super cars, I do agree there should be some races for the reasonable price range, maybe a Mazda roadster race, the Mazda roadsters are boat loads of fun to race

As a couple of the veterans pointed out, it's actually rather easy to come up with quick credits. As a casual gamer I was not well versed in the fine art of efficient grinding. :)

With that said, this Ferrari is awful. I cannot believe how bad this thing is.. Granted, I'm far from talented, but this thing doesn't do anything I want it to do! Ha! I'm gonna need a TON of practice.

That's the beauty of SPEC Racing, we're all in the same boat! :D

Brake hard, Brake early. When you get to the point where you need to turn, apply about 1/4 Brake and follow it into the corner. On the chicanes, 1/4 throttle coming out until she's straight then floor it.

Hey y'all I'm selling my racing setup if anyone wants to buy it. The cockpit, g27, monitor and ps3 w/games for 900$

It's just to much of a pain in the ass to try and get some race time in with 3 kids and a hateful wife.
This is more of a localish type deal. I doubt anyone wants to pay about 160 for shipping everything lol
If it don't sell, guess ill still have to race!

Bad night?

Nah. Just tired of crap. My dads 60th birthday was the 3rd and I had planned on taking him fishing all day Father's Day because that's all he's been wanting to do. Float down the river all day and fish. I'm an avid fisherman myself and I was mentioning it to my wife. She says its a no go because I spent so much on that rig. If its just gonna get held over my head like that then forget it. I'll take time with my pops over a hobby any day.

And now that I think about it, it wouldn't even be that bad but my dad lives about 15 miles from me and I hardly see him since I got married 2 years ago. I'm also the only family he has. My mom died in 2005 when I was 22 and I'm an only child. He has siblings in Michigan, but they haven't been down in years. All he does is work in a factory 8 hours a day, then comes home and plays on YouTube or some Topix forum.

It sounds like I'm making my wife out to be some monster that refuses to let me do anything, which isn't true. I see her side of it also, seeing how I'm gone basically 6 days a week and home 48-54 hours on my off days. So I know where she's coming from, but I feel like all I do is work while she goes to college. Oh well :p

It's a tough juggle bro. In a nutshell that's why I'm here. My main hobby (the one I take seriously) is r/c racing and it can get very time consuming (and considerably more costly than video games). A day at the track is literally the DAY at the track which is frustrating for her I kinow, but it is what it is. I can't really do anything about the long day, but I can take a break every once in a while. I've decided to take the summer off from racing so this is how I'm getting my fix for the next few months. I wouldn't recommend getting rid of your gear (although I'd love to have it if I had space for it!).

Thats why I only race three time a week. The wife would have a cow if I raced more than that. Its tough being married sometimes.

Yep the wife and daughter are why I do the late races and practice from 9 to 10 at night and 3am to 5 each morning. That keeps the peace. We've been married 26 yrs and she still wants most of my time when I'm at home. Can you imagine that?

The quote of the year. I don't race when the old lady is home, unless she is sleeping. That's why I don't practice during the week and only race on Fridays and Saturdays(her work days). Most races I miss are due to her getting canceled from work(nurse). Wish I had more time for racing myself but family is first.

This is true. Well I guess I should be happy with three times a week then. Now I will be fishing alot more with the lake 150 yds from my front door. I dont know what can of worms thats going to open. pun intebded. lol

How much for the G27 wheel & shifter. :) I already have a set of g25 pedals.

I say we all sign our wives up for a one-off race. 25 laps of High Speed Ring in Fiat 500's.

That sounds good to me. I bet most them would enjoy themselves. Then we would have the wives taking over all of our rigs and racing regularly. lol

Wait a minute the diamonds are black and fatter now. Whats going on?

Dear god that would be miserable lol it would take forever to do 25 laps, maybe make it 10 or 15

I don't think my wife could make it 10 Laps without wanting to stop and talk to someone else's wife.

Thats great. They could use all of our mics, that way they could talk while they race. Now that would be funny stuff.

You know, that might actually work to get some of the wives onboard (or at least have some understanding).

Of course my wife would get disco'ed halfway through like I always seem to, but she would still probably enjoy it. Heck, maybe (big maybe) she would even stop complaining about the money I spend on the rig.

I say it's worth a try.

I think not.

My mom is going to race in it if you guys do this!

My wife would just nag everyone else's wife about how they're to old to be playing a children's game and then threaten to unplug their modem.
