Tyres in real life

I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of tyres a real super car, such as a Ferrari, comes with when you buy it in real life, and what the equivalent is in GT5.

Thanks

The equivalent real tires in real life is what comes with the car when you buy it. There are a few exceptions in tuned cars.

I would imagine most Ferrari's come with Pirelli P Zero Rosso's or Corsa's.

There are no tyre manufacturers in GT5. Be good if there were though as I am a huge Michelin Pilot Sport fan!

For the SLS David Coulthard event didn't they use comfort softs? The times between DC and GT5 were .5 of a second apart so try that. Either that or the stock tyres the car comes with

Looking at the tyres in GT5 the comfort tyres seem to be your everyday 'street' tyres, the sports look like semi slicks and the racing are obviously full racing slicks.
Most real life cars would come with comfort tyres with higher end sports cars (Ferrari/Lamborghini etc.) using comfort softs.
There are a few manufacturers that equip some models with semi slicks from the factory, though this is fairly rare.
Hope that helps. :-)

Never bought sports soft tires for my race car. I generally preferred Pirellis or Hoosiers myself ;)
That being said, Racing Hard tires seem to be the closest to the Hoosier Vintage TD's I am currently using on it.

In any case, we had a very long and detailed discussion about tires here, and if you decide to search the subject you will see many such conversations.

Sport hards at most, sport mediums in extreme cases.
For example - McLaren F1's irl compound matches comfort mediums on GT5.

Comfort softs (A-spec)
Sports hard (online, grip-real, tire wear on)

There are exceptions for some cars. The McLaren F1 and Enzo come to mind.

In a quick Nordschleife lap time comparison of SLS i got couple of second faster laptimes with sport hards than real life record so probably comfort softs would be the correct tire for most sport cars.
