Ajax also seem to have a good time for playing against Barca. Lots of injuries on their side. If Ajax and Celtic win tonight Ajax wil take second place in the group. :lol:

Yes I do realize, I also realize 5 where jailed and I won't defend them as I have no idea what they did. But in saying that from what I've seen and heard. I will argue that the Scottish police did a much better job at controlling the situation than the dutch police did.
To be honest but the violence/hooliganism after the match didn't annoy me half as much as the banner which they had up. This was insulting not only to Celtic Fans but also to Catholics and Irish people, basically they insulted a whole group/generation of people. Which just shouldn't be allowed within a Stadium at the highest level of football.
Anyway probably best to leave it at that :lol:, GOALL!!!! hopefully Atletico can hold on :D may have them on my coupon :cheers:.
 
Gonna watch Dortmund - Napoli in CL today. Hoping for a good match.

I would really rather watch Ajax - Barca or Celtic - Milan but my TV won't allow that.
 
Dortmund V Napoli should be good game too, it's pretty much do or die for a lot of teams tonight. Just hope it's we need to win drama rather than we can't lose drama :lol:.
 
Oh man, so so nervous. Team looks strong, no Joe Ledley is suicide though.

Ajax is dominating Barca, and Barca is already resorting to panic football.

Of course this will all change after 45 minutes or so when Barca will score 3 times. :p

Really liking how Ajax is tearing Barca apart. Barca looks really toothless today.


And Dortmund - Napoli has been a good match so far aswell.
 
Not looking good for us gifted Milan a early goal :yuck:, so many nearly moments with no end product as usual. Looks like Ajax will put us out anyway :eek: sounds like their playing well.
 
Ajax is gonna have a hard time in 2nd half now.

But the red card was quite clear. Not so sure about the penalty, did look like it was just outside the box.
 
Well, as it stands Dortmund and Arsenal are through - for Napoli to get through in the last round, they'd have to put 6 past Arsenal.

Good result for the Gunners after everybody was writing them off when the CL kicked off 👍.

Edit: Chelfy losing - throws that group wide open again!

On average, no English team has actually beaten Basel in the last 3 years.

Since they've now cancelled out their two losses over Chelsea with two wins. Well done them. Salah will be in one of the big 5 leagues by January.

Was a great match between Dortmund and Napoli aswell. Dortmund's 2nd goal was fantastic.
 
An Ajax fan who was celebrating in the ground tonight fell at least 10 metres to the ground and was rumoured to have died as a result, reports now coming from Amsterdam Police state that it is NOT the case.

Amsterdamn Police now say the fan has not died, although there are no updates on his condition. Apologies for the above post, will edit accordingly.
 
The problem is FCP doesn0t have the money to keep the players... It's impossible in a country like Portugal to have millions to spend in salaries and contracts. The sucess of FCP rely in the balance between selling and evolving with young players (that are sold for 3/5/10x more to giant and richer clubs in Europe).

It could definitely do with Benfica and Sporting getting good again by the time the recession finishes up. Higher quality league can help generate money in tv deals.
 
The Ajax fan who fell down 10 meter has been brought to the hospital with severe head injuries. Pictures already online of him lying in a pool of blood. It looks like he fell face first on the concrete when celebrating the second goal.

Major bummer on such a great night.
 
It's a snowy one in Russia tonight, don't think there's a player on the park without long sleeves and gloves :lol:. Maybe an advantage for CSKA but hard to see them beating the Champions.
 
Interesting night last night Chelsea and Celtic were shocking (sorry Classic it has to be said!) Arsenal were good, whats interesting about Chelsea is that last year they finished the group with 10 points and didn't qualify and this year they have 9 points and have qualified...its a funny old game!
 
Fantastic first half by United. Really strong defensive and really good linkup between the defense and midfield through Rooney as attacker.

Great match to watch as a United fan. ;)
