Was really looking forward to watch the Milan - Barca match today, only to find out that I don't have the channel... Bummer... :grumpy:

Well at least i'll be able to watch the Galatasaray - Schalke match. :)

I understand that smile of yours but i think the result should be 2-0 or 3-0...
Still played very well

Agreed, jackson alone should have scored 2-3 goals by himself.

Tellin you guys, jackson is the next sought after striker. Look what falcao is who also came from porto.

If you had watched the game, you wouldn't be so surprised. Milan have been compact in defence, and looked threatening on the counter all night. Barcelona have been compartively toothless, with Messi nowhere to be seen. All possession with no edge.

First goal was a bit lucky for Boateng but the second one was a class counter-attack with a good finish from Muntari.

Oh and Yilmaz's goal for Galatasaray was just

Absolutely astonishing! Milan beat Barca 2-0 to give them a crucial advantage going into the second leg. Milan are also the only team to keep a clean sheet against Barca in all competitive competitions this season.

I have to say, it was totally deserved, Milan dominated the game overall and just looked the better team.

Couldn't have said it better myself. 👍

Barcelona needs a mentality overhaul if they are to win this Champions League. Passing all the time without shooting on goal is completely worthless. Can't blame Milan for the way they playing, it's strategy, but if every team played like that, I would surely stop watching football. :indiff:

Think A.C. watched the game at Celtic Park during training. :sly:

"Farsa" lost :) That just made my day.

One goal @ Nou Camp will finish the series. Well done Diavolo 👍

Yeah but you can stream it on uefa.com for like 5€ per match. :scared:

I'm afraid European sports leagues will never be as clever as the NFL / NHL...

I ain't streaming nothing from uefa.com that I have to pay for.
At least not for a match where I really couldn't care less what the result was. ;)

If it were United though... No... I'd just go over to a friends place and watch it there on the TV.

Not gonna pay uefa my hard earned money for that fee.

Wowzers.. milan with a 2-0 win at home, something I did not expect!! A lot of people I was with weren't happy, that's for sure!

Came up with that term with one of my friends @ college who also dislikes both Barcelona's style of play & Messi... ;)

Surprised the term didn't come because of a different reason.

Anyhow, Barça needs to start shooting from outside the box! The only goalscoring opportunity they had yesterday was a shot from Iniesta, and it went just wide of the post. IMO, the only way Barça will get through to the quarter-finals will be if Messi wakes up inspired the next matchday. No matter what, Visca el Barça!

Barcalona didnt really show up last night did they?

...also, anyone notice that both Milan goalscorers used to play for Portsmouth!, that shows what a good team they had not so long ago...

Especially seeing that both NFL & NHL are like 50$ a year. I happily pay for their services. :)

Well, you don't live in Norway...

Where the only thing you pay is taxes... And lots of them...

But the girls are nice for sure...at least the ones I met in Paris. Just sad there aren't more of them in France. ;)

2 days till the big game...both teams are in form, with United beating Norwich 4-0 yesterday and Real Madrid going into the game with back-to-back El Clasico wins...

My final swansong in the CL is this week too.

What can I say, it's been fun being able to participate in a football thread for once.

Kagawa to get another hattrick anyone?

Actually I think Van Persie is due a goal tomorrow which is more likely to happen. I can't wait for it. They're sending on of the guys from work to the match too, there was 1 ticket and it was a name out of a hat. Needless to say half the office now hates the guy that got the ticket.

Really looking forward to tomorrow's game, I'm tipping united to sneak it. But I do expect a tight game.

I'm tipping Rooney to go mega and score a double.

Tomorrow's game is going to be great. Seriously can't wait. Sorry ManU fans but HALA MADRID!!!

No Phil Jones tomorrow, he hasnt recovered from his ankle injury, Fergie has said that Ryan Giggs will play some part in what will be his 1000th career..and Iker Casillas is in the Real squad after 6 weeks out with a broken finger..but its not actually confirmed that he WONT play!

I actually see Diego Lopez starting in net for Real Madrid. He has been pretty great and on fire as of late. I would be surprised to see Casillas in net after a long time out. I mean just a few days ago Lopez was the keeper for the league classico. If Casillas is good for tomorrow surely he would have been good and played for Real against Barcelona just 2 days ago. Lopez is no Adan. Regardless should be a great match.
