Ouch, that's unfortunate. Especially since UEFA are so strange with their banner fines. Still though, Moyes won't care. :D

Quarterfinals tomorrow night and Wednesday night, Man United v Bayern Munich and Barcelona v Atletico Madrid tomorrow with Paris St Germain v Chelsea and Real Madrid v Borrusia Dortmund on Wednesday..

Ive got mixed feelings about the Bayern game tonight..

United XI...De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Buttner, Valencia, Fellaini, Carrick, Giggs, Rooney, Welbeck....I like that team, Rafael has a hamstring injury

Its a big night tonight, is anyone else going to post?

It'll be interesting to see that team line up, it could either be a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2. I have the feeling it'll be the first one with Fellaini playing in a more advanced position just behind Rooney with Welbeck on the left and Valencia on the right.

How United fans can have anything remotely resembling optimism is beyond me.

I will be watching the Barcelona game, should be a cracker!

If we are 4-0 down at half time I will watch the rest of the Barca game....

Robbery vs Buttner :scared:

United fans will have a card display/mosaic as the players walk out, ive seen a preview and it looks good...

Prediction time: 3-0 Bayern

I hope Man U can at least keep the tie alive, or even sneak a win, but I really can't see it with RVP out.

Well this is boring. All that's happening is Man U being penned in their own half and Bayern knocking it around the outside of the box with an occasional cross that does nothing but meet a Man U head.

Someone do something!!

He has been great, causing Bayern's defence problems, im genuinely happy with the way this are going, only problem is that when we do get the ball we give it away cheaply and Rooney hasn't had much influence...but apart from that, good...

Kagawa is on for Giggs, who's is injured

That was a lot better than I was expecting, we did really well I thought, we battled hard and it was disciplined...a good performance and we have a chance next week with Schwein and Martinez suspended

Very happy with that 👍:)

Really pleased with United's performance... 👍

And with a bit of luck, we could have won today aswell.

Actually looking forward to next week. :dopey:

Funny how in the Champions league we play like the well known Manchester United, yet elsewhere we play like a pub team.

That was a great result which I don't think anyone saw coming. Granted we got a bit lucky with the Valencia situation but then again, Welbeck's disallowed goal early on should have stood because that was in no way a high foot.

I think absolutely nobody expected United to walk away with their honour intact...

The worst part is that United should have won it.
Bayern dominated posession but were frustrated by a diciplined, deep sitting United who were dangerous on the counter.

Bayern were wasteful in attack and surprisingly inept in defence.
With Schweinsteiger and Martinez out of the return leg they'll have to improve significantly if they want to advance to the semi-final. United will hopefully have better defensive options next week.

Wide open tie, though we have to assume that Bayern will go through in the end.

That was almost the exact same tactics we deployed against Barca in 2012, did Moyes phone our Lennon? :p
