What!? Our beautiful English boys wouldn't hurt a fly!

Mainly because they're so drunk. ;)

Gabor Kiraly will become the oldest player to ever play at the EURO's. (40)

Scottish fans, on the other hand, have an exemplary disciplinary record and have not caused any trouble or had a single arrest at any international tournaments this century.
Mainly because they haven't qualified or got beyond the group stages? :p

I think it's all about to kick off...

The co-commentator on ESPN keeps calling the English league the Premiere League.

It's Premier. PREM-ier.

As a Mexican, I can't imagine our National Team not qualifying for the finals of the Golden Cup or the World Cup.

However, a part of me thinks that could make our beloved directives open their eyes... we are not a Superpower, we do not have enough quality players, our league system is a joke, our under-17 World titles don't mean anything if that doesn't translate in success in the senior tournaments... list goes on...

Not quite Mighty Magyars, but I'm thoroughly impressed with their performance today. First time they've won the Empire Derby in 18 years.

To be fair, they haven't played each other in 10.

I'm happy for Hungary; bit of a soft spot for them as they appeal to my "history of football" guff. Weren't a lot of people backing Austria as dark horses? I've not seen much from them to suggest they could be a Belgium who, funnily enough, also lost. Austria are also in Wales and Ireland's WCQ group which starts straight after the Euros too.

Now we just need Iceland to win and we have ourselves a fantastic tournament in the making.

If they can give Portugal a run for the money, you need to keep an eye on them, but to be honest, even though they topped our quali group, they didn't seem to be all that great.

But, they're a country with only 350000 inhabitants, so it's an achievement in itself that they reached the finals.

The first half hour showed that Iceland isn't a dangerous outsider. More like cannon fodder.

1-0 Portugal, Nani.

Edit.

Missed the 1-1. Perhaps I spoke too soon!

I think Iceland have defended resolutely so far. Playing as well as you would think. They've gotten their rewards courtesy of some terrible Portuguese defending.

35 minutes left.

What a great day!, all about Hungary and Iceland....

All the teams have played now....
