Well done to Croatian fans for messing up your own teams performance, might be a chance they could get thrown out because of that.

That game was a joke entirely. The ref, the organisation around it, the security and the Croatian fans. Rediculous.

Thought Clattenberg did good job in the situation, suspended the game and moved some of the players over to the far side of the pitch was a good move, and the penalty decision was correct.

He got the decisions correct, just the handling of the cards was pretty shocking, no consistency in what was worth a yellow and what wasn't.

Also the fact that there consistently was 2 footballs on the pitch, there was no indication on what the stoppage time was and there being a couple of footballs under-inflated make me think this game was organised by amateurs.

Just to clarify, those Croatian miscreants wanted the team to lose. They claim this hooliganism to be protests against the FA - who they hate for several reasons - and they do so by trying to force their national team into trouble. That's how stuff like the swastika incident happened, as well.

Also, if you're wondering how flares keep getting into grounds, remember that humans do have hiding places security can't reasonably search. (Use your imagination.)

Spain 3-0 Turkey, first proper dominant performance by a team so far, two goals from Morata and the other from Nolito in a total cruise from Spain who qualify, Morata now joint top scorer on two with Bale, Payet and Stancu.

I don't want to talk down on Spain's accomplishment, but Turkey was just awful. If Spain kept the throttle fully open it would have been an easy 6-0.

It's a little disappointing that in a full week of the tournament so far we've only had:
1 game with more than 3 goals.
1 game where one team scored more than 2 goals.
1 game where a team came from behind to take a lead.
1 game where a single player scored more than 1 goal.

Perhaps it's an indicator of how close all the teams are - only a couple of teams have 2 wins from 2 and only a couple have 2 defeats from 2 - but there's so few goals. That said, we've also only had:
1 game without a single goal.

Belgium have just woken up and joined the party, bad day for Ireland.

Italy become the first team to qualify and win the group...

And Belgium with the second dominant performance.:(

Ireland collapsed after the non-penalty, though they were poor before that as well. I guess we'll have to wait and see how they approach the Italian game.

Iceland 1-0 Hungary, Sigurdsson with a penalty which was questionable at best, a Swansea player scores at the Euros!

Poor judgement by Kiraly leading up to the scrappy tackling rewarding the penalty. But it looks like Gunnarsson went down to easy.

1-0. "Sigurdsson.

Edit: Own goal but the defender had no choice to be in that position. 1-1.

Who would of thought that Hungary could possibly top their group.

Bit of a wild prediction but my bet is on Austria to win against Portugal 2-1, with goals from Janko, Arnautovic and Nani.

I hope you're right, after Ronaldo's crybaby behaviour after the Iceland match.

So all the games from the same group are on at the same time, they have done this in the last few major tournaments to make it more exciting, you have to pick and choose which game you want to watch, The last 16 starts on Saturday afternoon meaning there is no football on Thursday and Friday, in terms of the third places in the groups we are looking for the four best third placed teams that will make it to the knockout round.

Janko has been dropped for Sabitzer so I hope Alaba will grab a goal as he plays off the striker.

@Dennisch Yeah that would make sense as well!

Another thing, goal difference doesn't count from this tournament, it goes to head to head if its level on points, I think they have done this to make it more easy to follow next week, there are going to be lots of permutations and if they threw the GD in there then it would make it more complex, its because of head to head that Italy have won their group today, they beat Belgium in the first game.
