Looks like Top Gear will air here the same time as in the UK ( awesome news), still not seeing any ads though.

Egypt can get Top Gear at the same time as Britain, but Australia can't? What the hell is going on here?
Actually, that's the case if you only have free-to-air TV. Foxtel/Austar is set to be apart of the 'simultaneous broadcasting' of S22. Not that anyone will watch it at 6:00am on a Monday morning, but it's good that it's there. However, the encore will be screened at the old time for new episodes of Top Gear which is, from memory, 7.30pm.

I do feel for you Free-to-Air guy's... Channel 9 has the rights to broadcast it but just like all Free-to-Air networks, they mistreat it.

I'm still not sure about this, I'll assume the same channel (MBC) that used to broadcast the year late episodes will be the one to air it again (it's free to air) but haven't yet seen a mention, are there any links on Top Gear to find out which channel will air it?

That's not on TV though is it? I assume its on the website..

Looking forward to the series as always, but have to say, Special didn't give me confidence... from the get-go. "V8's may soon be gone forever... so let's have a Special about them." Sounds like "V12's may be gone forever," which we heard a while back, and they aren't. Complete the bridge, struggle with obstacles, run into something and break your wheel again. I tried to find something original about this Special, but there was only one bit in the whole 2 hours. Evidently Clarkson is human, nice story about his personal connection with the 928.

The rest, pleasant watch, not too exciting, my attention drifted more than their FR's in snow. I'll watch it again someday, I'm sure. But one of the worst Specials ever, only India stands out above it.

And while true and interesting, all the hubub at the end really had no place in a Special, IMO. Where was the conclusion? What's going to happen with V8's in the future? A few facts were thrown in, but a few more would have been better. Origins, development/evolution, current designs and future plans for V8's would have been nice and thematic.

And yes, the little I've seen of it, I liked Old Top Gear. I want a Motoring show, not a Variety show...

Good job, Channel 9!

You spent all that money buying the rights to broadcast one of the most popular television shows in the world, and then you make good use of it playing repeats of "Top Gear Top 41" - which you only finished broadcasting last week.

...and when it comes to airing the latest season six months after it's finished on the BBC, the episodes are shown out of order plus it's endlessly shuffled around the schedule so whatever "reality" or "talent" show is running at that time can be shown in the prime-time slot.

Oh, and there's half an hour of ads in each episode - often inserted carelessly in the middle of a segment.

That's because Channel 9 (and Channel 7, for that matter) is being run by trained apes. Top Gear (and Castle on Ch. 7) is the only thing in their programming worth watching. The only other time I will switch over is when one of the apes who escaped Ch. 9 for Ch. 10 decides that the thing audiences really want to see is another repeat of Napoleon Dynamite, oblivious to the way that it's less of a film and more a case of somebody throwing up in a film projector and hoping nobody noticed.

6 Days to go! I think they may take the new Lambo to the track although I am not sure

No-one from TGUK drove in the UK World Rallyx...

James did. Perhaps it's the way it was edited in the sneak peek but to me it seems as though James drove in the UK Rallyx event.

46:09-46:20 comes across to me like they were filming at the UK Rallyx event, you can see Tanner's car being followed by the Red Bull Peugeot as they overtake a VW Polo. If I'm not mistaken they're official cars of the '14 Rallyx season.

He... didn't. Doran, Scott, Jordan and Godfrey were the only UK entries for supercars. That video shows rain, which means it was the Saturday morning, so highly likely it was a staged event (especially with Jansen and the two Hansen Pugs in the same race). There's no way he could be allowed to compete with his licenses, even in an S1600 or Touring Car.

That's probably it then. But just recorded on the same weekend as the Rallyx event.

Not a staged TGUK vs TGUS event as was predicted.

I've just quadruple checked all entry lists and he wasn't in any class, just to be certain.
