Must be something you're doing wrong. Go and drive a stock MX5 and report back

News 1.31 update just made every car in this game an understeering mess
With the quite limited "tests" I have done I cant agree.
The cars are handling much better, tried a few Gr.3 Gr.4 and different road cars.

News 1.31 update just made every car in this game handle like a real car
I updated this for you.

The number of people who haven't driven on track on here shows. In the pre-1.31 update there was the weird handling dynamic where if you just turned more mid corner a RWD car would just magically oversteer. Do that on track and you'll just understeer yourself out in to the barrier - exactly like 1.31.

It FEELS like an understeery mess because of what you've gotten used to, but trust me, the cars handle a lot more realistically now.

Indeed, personally i totally disagree, i think it is much better now, for me more realistic and more predictable.
A lot of cars feel better now and more realistic in movement, altho i never drove a Huracan on the limit in real life

Take some time with it. I'm sure once you're used to it and can set up your suspension and LSD settings around it, it'll feel better.

I'm personally loving how 4WD road cars are handling. Power oversteer felt way too exaggerated. Now, they just pull around, slight understeer, now oversteer, feels great to nail a good corner exit.

Trail braking was too effective before the update to be realistic. If you're braking and turning at the same time you're not doing either as efficiently. That's physics. Brake earlier and trail brake less. Adjust your suspension for oversteer and add more front downforce if you want to take turns more aggressively.

that's that fire. thread is done

You must be aware that new tire temperature modelation, it takes a little to get it to proper temperature, until then the cars are all over the place, specially on racing tires. The harder they are, also take more time to get to temperature. After having them warmed up, most of the cars behave as they should. Pre 1.31 they just look like they were slot cars, with the front going wherever you point it.

Yes, if you brake and turn at the same time, it will understeer. If you have a huge rake angle (which worked great before 1.31), on corner entry all the weight will be in the front, it will understeer.
