Well... My Odyssey isn't too much of a sleeper being that its matte Pink with a wing, but its 407 hp, and definitely boogies!

Hehe we put these motors in sandcars! :dopey: Turbo charged 3.5L V6 with 500+ HP and a loaded weight of 1800 LBS... they certainly "boogie" :sly: Here, ill leave some car porn for you, this is one of my fun toys!

Vauxhall VX220... tuned up to 400 horsepower this little bucket of fun weighs practically nothing (755kg min I think) and practically flies around corners!

Except the Odyssey in gt5 is a jdm model running a 4 cylinders.

Tank car.
It may have a lot of horses but it weighs 3.5 tonnes. Even so once I started driving it I actually found it's pretty good in the corners and not bad on the straights. The only annoying thing is the brakes still lock up even though I have ABS on, that's always confused me.
Even so I was in an online lobby and I was staying ahead of a fully tuned 1 series concept, even a Muira at one point.

My favourite sleepers are the TOM'S X540 and the Lotus Carlton. I mean yeah, if you know what they are then you know they're bloody quick, but to a lot of people they just look so normal, yet either of them could show the majority of fast metal on the roads today a thing or two. In GT5 the effect isn't quite so great though.

It's great when rallying.

Same for the SC300

Besides the turbo lag on take off i do agree

Could the Ford Focus RS 2002 (standard) count as a sleeper? 410+ HP on 850 KG is pretty neat.

This car is actually quite fast... I have got it in shuffle racing many times and usually i win with it

Hommell Berlinette R/S. I didn't even know what it was at first but this car rules. It's quick and the handling is superb. The best 400pp car in my opinion. If you're lucky enough to get this car in a shuffle race you will win guaranteed.

i know you said no race cars and the whole credit limit thing.

but the ultra sleeper award has to go to the Jaguar Xj13.

if you haven't driven this thing, your missing out. it beats modern street/race cars regularly. it doesn't look at all like a threat until one shows up in your rear view after making up an 8 second gap like it was nothing

the exhaust sounds awesome, its good from 600pp to 650pp, you can paint it, and it doesn't have a bunch of ugly stickers on it.

its easily my favorite car in the game

edit-

oh and wait till you check out the interior view for this thing. rear view.

Opel Vectra 3.2 03'.

Tuned with 373hp /489pp, this FWD V6 feels very good. I didn't try it before and i was surprised by how fast it can be. Very neutral, not a lot of understeer.

The 1983 Mitsubishi Evo is great when its tuned grips really good i did a 1:13 at top gear with no assists except for abs on 1.
