We have a thread for cars that can whoop you and you never expect it. But, what about cars that you got scared of first time you came up against them or got excited to drive and was dissapointed to find out it was crap.

for me it was the Baby Lambo, the Gallardo. Didnt turn in and didn't accelerate as fast as I thought it would be around the Trial Mountain. Didn't keep it long story short.

what do you have.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage. too much Understeer, oversteer, no-traction, heavy, bad brakes.....it has everything that you dont need.

R10? i thought we only had the R8. and where is the R9?

Hope that's a joke...

But back on topic: the Enzo was very disappointing for me. I expected a brutal track holding road racer. I was greeted with weak brakes and lots of understeer. I also expected much more grip and clean handling from the MP4-12C. Doesn't appear to be even close to life-like in GT5.

The ruf yellowbird because that car always want to kill me around a race track and a speedway.i turn in a corner and get on the gas and it snap oversteered in every corner I'm at

He meant the lmp r10

I think it's the R8 V10? .. But anyways.. I have the Chrome line and the chrome line Lamborghini Murcielago is by far one of the worst handling cars, it's almost completely uncontrollable around corners and under breaking.. But also my favorite "cruising" car is the Cerbera Speed 12, but it's horrible to race with (with no aids) :( ..

The speed 12 got tons of power that's why it undriveable in a race

R10 tdI LM 06, it has a crazy rear end wich i cant balance....
Lexus black race car (that looks like DTM car) It cant steer at all
Veyron and Enzo the more i tune them (add HP) the more they cant steer

Enzo is terrible around corners. I remember being so disappointed after saving up to buy it (back when credits were harder to come by).
Also most of the Mercs are a bit annoying, I think PD slightly overdid it with the immense wheelspin and tyre shredding they do.
Also in general how most European cars are outdone by Nissans, don't think it's completely honest of PD to show them like that.

The R10 TDi is way too slow for an LMP.

The fully modified Enzo is extremely hard to steer properly, I don't mind the stock version apart from the engine sound.

I absolutely dislike the handling of the Bugatti Veyron and the GT by Citroen concept car, way too much understeer :yuck:

The MP4 has twin turbos, so when you floor it just a hair more than you should, you loose traction and balance. Be gentle with throttle, and it's a rather nice car. Wish we could adjust turbo pressure...

Ford Mustang V8 GT Coupe Premium '07
Much ..MUCH slower than expected. While the handling is acceptable, its been made too heavy and has the wrong weight balance compared to the RL car. Also, where are the striped versions?!?!?

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 GSR T.M. SCP '99
I know this will not make me many friends but honestly, its named after Tommy Makinen for crying out loud! I expected rip-snorting performance and got something that performs no better (or worse) than ta "normal" GSR.

Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro '09
Just all around disappointing. Feels slow, seems understeery and lacks personality …for me anyway.

AC Cars 427 S/C ’66 and Shelby Cobra 427 ’66
These go top of my list. The way PD has dealt with these is shameful.

The Fireblade was quite a disappointment. I was really looking forward to Caterhams in the game and since we didn't get any new ones I was awaiting to drive the Fireblade. In the end it doesn't have enough power (the initial pickup is just way too lazy for a purpose built lightweight) and the handling isn't that nice either (the rock hard tyres of GT5's physics don't serve this car well, it's hard to have a minimal slip angle which you need with a car with such a short wheelbase). A much better Caterham simulation is found in Live for Speed's car called the LX4.

 That thing always wants to kill the driver. You just have to be gentle on the gas and fast with your hands and you'll soon get the hang of it. To me, it's one of the best cars in the game.

BMW M Coupe (older one). Even fully modded it doesn't perform like the numbers say.

+1 on Caterham, Enzo, Veyron, R8

RUF CTR2 - it was faster in the straights and turns than the Yellow Bird in real life and made more power but not in GT5. Doesn't turn very well. I have a good setup for it but it still doesnt feel as fast as the numbers say it should be around a track to me. Loses a lot of time in the turns.

Yeah the understeer on the CTR2 is out of this world. The power and straight line performance is good in my opinion, but AWD spoils it.

03' E55 AMG

Not the biggest surprise but the most recent for me. Feels HEAVY even when fully tuned and weight shows around 1450kg.. My Amuse Superleggera 350Z feels like a butterfly when tuned to the same weight.

But i guess thats how MBs are in real life nowadays ..:indiff:

Not slow, but very, very, very bad! Completely undrivable! Absolutely no fun to drive! That are my impressions from the Red Bull X2011. I really hate this car and I only let my B-Spec drivers use ist.

That's the way I felt too until my friend came over and only wanted to drive that car. We took turns beating each others times and after about an hour, we had that thing down. Its like playing GT5 on crack!

De-tuned to 1,000 HP and slap comfort hard tires on. You will thanks me later.:dopey:
