Jpec07For one, when he puts the cards on the table he isn't holding them any more. If you slow the play rate down and make the video fill the whole screen, you can clearly see that the cards seem to "disappear" from the moment he picks them from the pile. In fact, this trick, like so many others, involves the slight of hand. During the trick, he gradually gets rid of the cards while our focus is on the table. It's a very clever trick, and I have no idea what he does to the cards, but by saying they're disappearing as they hit the table proves (in my mind at least) that he is using the slight of hand. Now all I have to figure out is what is happening to the cards.
That's what I'm thinking.LoudMusicYou're right, the cards never actually leave the pile in his left hand. Beyond that, I've got nothing (:
Does the pile diminish while he's 'laying them out' or does it disapear all at once when he's done?
Took the words out of my mouth. I was thinkning that, but was too lazy to type all of that out.Tacet_BlueIts very good 👍 I do a few tricks myself, and think...that he is doing the following.
Before he starts he wipes his right hand on his trousers, this is to remove any sweat and make doing "the palm" easier. This is where you conceal a card in the palm of your hand, gripping it with the "heel" and base of the fingers, it allows you to move your fingers making it look like your hand is empty.
The pile of cards in his left hand do diminish, they are leaving his left hand for sure, and there is enough of a gap for you to see that he his not dropping them on the floor.
I think he feeds them into his right hand using a "palm grip" notice the two small fingers on his right hand don't move, only the index and middle, I think he is gripping the cards.
Then in the last move his right hand sweeps in a large distracting movement and goes near the edge of the table, I think he drops them just before he shows his empty hand...its very smoothly done.
But, the guy with the mike would surely see the cards at the last minute being dropped, but of course he could be in on it, and already seen it in rehearsals
TriplePlayWhat about the noise the cards make when they "hit the table"???
GTChamp2003How can you say he is holding the cards in his right hand when he shows both his hands at the end?
