We played this game in school. If you were given the chance to automatically memorize any book or Internet website you wanted, which one would you choose?

Book would be Encyclopedia Britannica... (or is that more than one 'book'?) Website would be Wikipedia...

I already have memorised one book, it's called "My Greatest Achievements" by G.W. Bush.... (it's a very short book....) Here is an extract from Chapter 3: Achievements in Foreign Policy (which I've recalled off the top of my head)

It's been done.

I'd memorise the bible. I'm trying hard to be more religious of late.
I know God is willing to help and I so rarely ask for it.

I'd totally memorize Wkipedia. Not only could I know all the book-smart stuff an encyclpedia has, but I could also learn how to fit an H23 in my Del Sol, yo.

LOL! Am I the only one that saw this so far!?

Good joke

Wikipedia, The only place I know of that has a section about Wall Running :p

From,
Chris :D

You could have put answers.com in the pole. It has wikipedia as well as over 30 other resources. Too bad I thought of that now.

I just want to memorize the script of my life, so I could know when not to screw things up, or at the very least, find my car keys when I'm in a hurry.

How about google, can I memorize google?

Wikipedia is a good target for memorization. I might actually go with some sort of text book - something useful like theoretical physics. The US tax code wouldn't be a bad one. That would probably save me some serious cash. The US penal code would be pretty good too, that might make it easy to crank out a law degree.

"Anatomy of the Human Body" would be useful. "Programming C++", "Programming Fortran"?

Wikipedia is probably the best.

Or HowStuffWorks.com? Too late, yes, but that is a fantastic site with stuff that Wiki doesn't have.

I agree again that Wiki is probably the best. Learn how to make laws, how to get around them, the entire history of Porsche, and how to beat Mario on NES.

how to beat Mario on NES.
You don't need Wikipedia for that...

:D

None the less, I'd go for Wikipedia, as well. As long as I could update myself as necessary, of course.

myspace.com. Why? To spam and make moneyz.

For lawyers, I'd think you'd want to go with LexusNexus. Can you imagine having every single legal case in the country as well as all of the court opinions and articles about each case memorized?

Whew, that would make legal research quick.

Unfortunately that's not really realistic is it? What's the point of this thread again?

Memorizing Lexus Nexus's records would be cool, but that's be difficult since those records are kept by Lexis Nexis. 'T's all good. Anyway, I got a security-issued ticket for driving through their parking lot. The place is near home.

:) My mistake (not the first time I've made it).

Definitly wikipedia. Where else could you find info (and pictures) on just about any topic on Earth?

Assuming you speak English, with 1.5 mil articles. Next is German, with .5 mil.

Wikipedia is my first source of knowledge on any school assignment.

I'd want to memorize GTPlanet itself. All of our great debates, discussions and fun OWN Wikipedia. And do I really need to know what the chemical makeup of a cuckoo bird is?

Failing that, Wikipedia.

Failing that, any Ray Bradbury book.

I don't know..... Bible sounds good, as far as prints go. Maybe a dictionary though, since my vocabulary is very limited.

As far as the websites go, wiki, or IMDB would be nice. Huge movie buff.
