Unlocking TG Test Track

How do you unlock the Top Gear Test Track? I assumed it would be once I completed all the Top Gear Special Events....but it hasn't happened.

So what is it that I have to do?

You have to get a Gold in the Camper Van Challenge, something I found to be a real pain to achieve though I did eventually manage it.

Oh great...that was the blinkin' challenge I got a silver I think...ah well, here goes (loads disc into PS3 )

A good tip is simply to flatout the second-to-last corner, as the AI slows down way too much. Just go wide and cut the corner in the initial turn-in. That combined with exploiting the drag of the other vans should secure you first place in a try or two

I am a lousy driver in GT5 yet I managed this challenge after about 4 goes.

If I managed it, it must be really easy

You just need to try it a few times and remember the best places to pass.

Just dont let the car hit the limiter.
When it gets close in top gear just lift off a bit to stop it from hit it and hold it there.

I tried this 3 times, the first two I got DQ'ed, the third one I actually finished the race and to my surprise, considering I'm an okay driver, I took the gold. I overtook the 2 cars remaining on the last lap before Gambon, what an intense race it was.

It took me about 20 times just to get 4th place on this with the annoying cones and clipping the vans the slightest bit. It gets quite annoying. I cant see me getting gold any time soon.
