update 1.05 - Ensure you follow the AUP when posting

Because there is NO WAY POSSIBLE that there could be 600Mb of code. The ENTIRE MS Office Suite is 400Mb. And that's 7 programs.

It depends on how effecient the patch system is. If lots of stuff is cooked, then a tiny change could result in a hundred megabyte patch.

It says they can't be repeated. Works like the special events. That's the maximum you get from them. But they should change regularly so it's all good.

Ah fair enough. Nice to at least have something a bit different I suppose, give people a break from lapping Indy.

Given how many people must be grinding there constantly, it must be quite likely that more virtual laps have been done there in the last few weeks than have ever been done in real life...?

Ugh! Don't say stuff like that! Some people are in the middle of a long (and low paying) enduro right now.

I'm gonna cry.

I'm 5 hours into a 9 hour b-spec endurance race :(

Although when i finish it, i'll be level 35 b-spec and have a nice X1 (or X2010, or whatever it's called now!) to play with :)

Yeah, we now have 3 dealerships, why not add these cars to the already existing dealership? Whats the diff.
Amazing update though, if Gt5 launched with this it would have gotten much better reviews.

Do you really think the game was marked down because you couldn't restart an event immediately. Or able to play custom menu music.
Whilst it's a great update, being able to remove the HUD should be standard.... Or is that premium.

I have several PS3's to update.. is there a way of having them update from each other rather than several 600MB downloads? can the update be put on a usb stick?

Cheers

GSL

Can you read? They added onlijne XP/Credits, seasonal events, online dealership, a major criticism was a lack of online system, and a type of auction area. It would have gotten better press had it had this stuff at launch yes. Also, mechanical damage was added after launch, this would have had a major impact on reviews as these were some of the biggest criticisms of the game.

Hey, is it me or do we get 5 paints every day? I just got a log in bonus, and it gave me 5 paints (no rare paints though). Maybe it's my Asia version. We don't have museum mode here.

About the same

You can export all your photos to XMB now, still wish for selective multi copy, but this helps a lot

Seasonal Events
[Seasonal Events] have been added to the upper left side of the [GT Mode] - [GT Life] screen. From here you can participate in official online events from the Polyphony Digital team. In these events, all participants under the same regulations, and if you complete the event you will win rewards and experience. In Time Trials and Drift Trials, compete on the leader boards with players around the world.

Online Race Rewards and Experience
When you complete a race in the open lobby or my lounge, you will now gain rewards and experience points. Therefore if you are focused more on playing online, you'll still be able to gain rewards and levels that you need to progress in GT Life.
So no grinding for me then! Woo! :sly:

It appears the game now remembers some of your menu settings, I just went back into my garage to see the cars still sorted by make and not order purchased/won. Useful 👍

All the best
Maz

Seasonal events really help with the grinding, for those hating the grind [i havent felt much grinding yet, but this really helps you get through the game ;)].

I don't get the online dealership thing. How is it affected by other users? If it's not (as it seems) then why/how is it "online"? Maybe every player has the same cars available at all times and the list updates randomly. There are 12 slots for cars instead of 30(?) and more rare cars. In mine I have a purple veyron, a green FGT, FIVE random skylines, CLK Touring Car, Abt TT Touring Car, Countach Anniv. Ed. and two pickup trucks.

Seems like a great update all in all.

I saw the Red Bull X1 mentioned as the 'X2010' in Australian Motorsport eNews earlier today, and thought it was a mistake, but obviously they knew something in advance!

But why are the prize money only boosted until end of jan 2011?
*Is having a long xmas holiday + one week at the end of january so will miss out on playing GT5 a lot*

I'm 3 hours into the same race. Different result though since I'm level 33. :P

The dude posting it says you can rewind per lap, so 1 lap back, 2 laps back and so on... ::tup:drool:

Sorry but I do not think that is good information. I just tested it myself, if you pause, the only option is a button that says "Back to Top", even on later laps in the replay. There is no way to jump around lap to lap in either direction, just to go straight back to the start of the race. :(
