update 1.05 - Ensure you follow the AUP when posting

Have found these details so far;

Some races now pay more, e.g. Schwarzfeld B League @ Nurburgring is cr.71000 for win, was cr.33000.

Mechanical damage in arcade mode.

Can redo a race after winning/losing without having to be returned to main menu.

I've got a question on the seasonal events - I read that they can't be redone, but can they be improved? Say, if I finish 3rd am I stuck with that and can't gold?

What if you quit out, can you restart? I ask because that many Cr. and xp would be an absolute blessing

They work like the Special Events. If you get gold then you can't earn anything else but if you get silver or bronze then you still have room to improve.
 
When you finish a race, it doesn't automatically take you back to events page!!!
This means you can run a race multiple times without having to load the track each time!

lawl thats the first thing pretty much everyone is going to try and one of the reasons people didnt want it backupable (if thats a word?)

then again there are the legit few who really do need a backup option, like me having 3 PS3s in the house, its a pain in the butt not being able to play the same save on either one.

having 35+ friends now online in the game thanx to gtplanet.net, yes here, this place, i have tons of good races.... or drifts free runs or whatever YOU, YOURSELF wants....

Open up your fantasy and stop being stuck on rules applied by other games in their world...

And online races now gives you xp and credits... Very nice!

What i do is read the lobby title carfully, check ping of lobby and race quality, go in and check the race they're doing. Not just blindly like a fool joining everything and hoping it will be a good race...

By the way, the online section of this forum can help you find good races too, if you want too...

No offense, but matchmaking is for noobs, PC serves always have dedicated servers where you can PICK the match you want. Nothing wrong with that. I do agree on not knowing whats running or restrictions before joining the lobby is poor though. match making is purely a console thing and is not needed.

Agreed and I'm not really a fan of matchmaking but I prefer that system over the one currenlty in GT5. If the lobby restrictions were clear BEFORE entering a lobby then I would entirely agree with you my friend.
 
hey i know this is off topic and in the wrong forum but there is NO ONE in the one i need. What car is best for completing the last race in s-class in prologue? because i have tried so many times and cant do it!

I grind all weekend to get one myself and got to level 28 did the 500 miles race and was going to start searching for one today...
If I had bought it over the weekend - well at least I had one and could do the FGT championship. I also lost a lot of credits grinding this weekend (almost 20000 per race) and Im not crying about it.
What Im really happy is that there will be no more greedy b****rds that get 5 and 6 top cars for their crappy blue FGT, that was just plain wrong. Im sorry for those that got theirs in the last days but at least that wont happen anymore...

Yeah I won't get sucked into that "trading" thing. I earn my cars(okay a friend had an extra 787B Stealth code he gave me) But the fact that I need to make another 4.6 mill to get a different colour just rubs me the wrong way.
They should have at least allowed it to be painted in the other colours at the paint shop...

Two questions to ask yourself before proclaiming your unhappiness. It's not a perfect world. Some people got exactly what they wanted, some people got nothing. Hopefully everyone will be satisfied in the long run.
 
Can anyone confirm if you backup your Save data to a USB/HDD, you won't screw the pooch on your current save and have to start again?

Just paranoid that it might happen, lul.

Hey I'm not trying to "poop on anyone's parade" here. If you are happy with the update then kudos to you. I just feel that there are still many woefully inadequate things about the game (and I'm a long long time GT fan) which should never have passed release... let alone still be there a month later:

1. Online still does not provide details of what is being run in any given room. We need to know restrictions BEFORE entering.
2. A spec is still woefully short on events... hey we have 5 new races and a couple of time trials WOO HOO jumps with joy.... hardly makes much difference to the 1,000 events that were in GT4.
3. Prologue even had a better online system with SET ONLINE EVENTS to enter - nothing like this here. The game should cater for both those who want to set up rooms how they choose (subject to point 1 above) and also provide set online events so you could say choose an online nurburgring event for GT1 etc without entering a room where some chap has the ring on and is just mucking around drifting etc etc

Duping means duplication. Probably by fiddling with the save games.
So much for collecting a proper garage the honest way.
On the other hand, my once-redeemable stealth car codes did a noteable jump upwards - atleast they still can't be gifted.

I agree, Pd dropped the ball, but they are quickly rectifying it, give it more time. I agree in principle what you are saying, totally, a-spec is really lacking as is the online system,. BUT, people are happy because it is getting better and rather quickly.
