Sorry if this has already been asked, (there are 47 pages now ) but can you adjust each gears ratio now as opposed to only been able to change the top speed (all ratios).

My PS3 frozen for 3 times in a row... This only appened after the update, did you guys had the same problem?

Mine does the same thing, but it did it BEFORE the update. I disabled all Background music and the clicky sounds. No more locking up.
I'm running a release day 60gb Fatty.

And 608mb for a patch??? That's almost the size of an .avi movie!!!

This had better be worth it!

in the Cockpit of my Castrol Tom's Supra.... I do notice that the Jaggies of the shadows look rounded, but My eyes could be playing tricks on me, they still suck regardless.

They've certainly improved the jagged shadows, still far from perfect but I noticed before a start of the race the shadows on the tarmac are now slightly moving and not fixed, which is a clever way of camouflaging the jaggies and I'm less bothered by them now, the shadows in the interior are also far smoother than before.

The fact you can now totally remove the HUD is a very nice addition, especially for free practice, as I found out I still need some basic info when racing (laptimes, number of laps, etc.) although maybe I need to get used to it, maybe pitboards for the next update?

What race have you unleashed Bob on, with the FGT? I'm currently doing the American Race at Indy and making 117K cr per race.

2 whole leaderboards (not half but whole) - not ONE but TWO
A revolutionary "START" button so that you can restart races without having to go to the menu.
Nurburgring now unlocked with a bronze (WITH A BRONZE FFS).
And best of all xp and credits online (providing of course you can find a room where they aren't stuck in free run forever which is a task in itself).

So please stop moaning - Great update

The custom soundtrack was causing freezes for a few people... if you've got it turned on then switching it off might solve the problem.

Is the patch supposed to download automatically?

If you goto system settings in the xmb you can setup auto download. It will download all updates for systems and games that you have game data for on the system and will install it next time you start the game. I have mine set for 4am.

Yeah I'd like the option to disable the fuel display on races where it just isn't required, but that's probably just me being picky. For some reason I just think it looks uglier than the rest of the HUD.

It should work provided you use the same PSN ID.

haha you see i told you, sarcastic as hell...

You forgot to add the rotating spin on those events so they keep refreshing to new ones on given times.
The garage is updated and remembers whatever way you wanna sort your 1000 cars...

That's because people keep adding posts and asking if you can adjust gear ratios, rather than reading the previous pages.

For me when after the update. I had Level 15 (Special Event on Intermediate but can't remember which) even though I'm at Level 23. I was given 4hr Nurburgring (which I already had), 24hr Nurburgring both normal and changable time/weather and a Mercedes car.

Online racing stuff is no use to me. I have to share my PS3 so my Dad seems to be the only one who can play online.

I wish the extra money was around longer as I realy need it.

Good point... I assume that on a single race you can restart ad infinitum so that you can grind away on the handful of races there are.

I'm rather curious what happens with a championship run though, as it would be away of "cheating" if you could keep restarting the second race of an event. Maybe you can only restart once the event is complete in a championship series.

I've just taken my 350Z over to the online drift trial, parts are on the car but settings have returned to default...
EDIT: not so sure now, something odds happened but I think its coz I've done something stupid
