All these changes are awesome. Can't wait to get home and play. I have the most random one, though: Does anyone know if you can delete individual time entries in practice mode? haha

The seasonal events are damn near impossible. I did two and came in 6th place and 8th place. the requirements for each race are really strict as well, it seems you would mostly have to buy a whole new car just for the race. Luckily even coming in 6th and 8th place I won around $220,000 for both and ALOT more exp than any other races in A spec.

Does anyone know if you win money and Exp from the time trials?

Yeaaaaa! Finally. It sounds like a whole new boost of motivation. It will take another 12 minutes and then i am ready to go. I can't wait any longer! And best of all. Before i turned of last night, i turned to level 24 and got my formula gt, so there are loads of things to do today :-)

I just love this game!

Only if you pay for Playstation Plus.

On a different note, that restart button after races, does it save your result and your place, credit, and xp gains, or does it restart you as if you never did the race?

It's not a restart button, but a start button. So it saves all the xp and credits you gained for already completing the race and gives you the option to start a new one instead of going back to the menu just to press x again.

I was looking for the "Increase Pace" button, whilst downloading the update....

Think I've played b-spec too much :p

This sounds good to me. That means it requires careful tuning and upgrading... very strict requirements but you have to learn how to set up the car much more accurately than before when you just slap a turbo on and go.

How do you back up your files. It says go to manual but not where in the manual.

On the XMB menu go to the saved data utility. Go to your GT5 save data, hit triangle, and then go to "Copy" and choose either to copy the data to another account or USB storage.

Go to your PS3 main menu (XMB), you have to quit the game to do this. Go under GAMES > then Save Data Utility > Plug in a USB Flash Drive > Highlight Gran Turismo 5 > Press TRIANGLE > choose COPY > select Flash Drive as the backup source.

No money or experience from the TWO time trials.

I did that but it says theres only 392kb. Most of games and some of my demos have more than that. Does it save all my progress like events in A and B Specs, cars owneed, tracks created, trophies etc.

Am I being a bit dense but can't you just swap the hdd

You can't because all PS3 HDD are programed for the original system only. Plus, the YLOD happens, at least most of the time, because the thermo paste dries up and cracks.

Besides, I wouldn't trust my old system anyways because it broke down when I was playing GT5 :grumpy:

Exactly. So far I've gotten 2nd place in the Fiat 500 event and 3rd place drving the CR-Z. You can't even do an oil change or you will exceed the horsepower maximum, so all tuning has to be done with suspension tweaks and what little aero you can get from the parts in GT Auto. Then it just takes good driving. These are fun.

I don't think it includes tracks created or photos taken... but it includes the main bulk of your progress which means your level, credits, completed events, stats, upgrades/tuning and garage contents. But I'm not gonna be the guy who tests that theory :D

No suspension tweaks needed for any race. Fiat 500 was the most difficult.

It would have been useful a screen which told the user how many hp would be gained after the oil change. Now I'm forced to make my B-spec bobs run in circles with my CR-Z in order to get rid of the temporary horsepower bonus due to the oil change I thought it would have been a good idea to do...

What help the most are custom gearbox and flywheel/clutch upgrades so that acceleration can be maximized (top speed has to be tuned according to the track, of course).
Careful suspension tuning doesn't hurt though.

Same thing happened to me with the Fiat. I just sold it and bought another one. :sly:

Thanks. I was worried because I saw my Shift which had over 1000kb. My
GT5P was only about 75kb.

You 100% sure on this? I've seen video's where they showed people how to replace the PS3 hard drive. It's just a laptop hard drive inside there.

If there was something special that needed to be done to format the HD then surely someone would make a program that allows your computer to format it...

Sorry mods, no more off topic for me.

More prizes for AMG driving school special events. 'Nurburgring 24h' and '4h' tracks for getting all bronze in intermediate, Mercedes-Benz 190e 2.5-16 evo II for all silver intermediate, and CLK-GTR for all gold intermediate.

Will these rewards be awarded retrospectively as I have completed them already up to Gold. Don't really fancy doing em again :scared:

Half my time will be devoted to B spec (Enduros) and the other half will be devoted to grinding indy. I have plenty to do in the game afterwards. In no rush to finish A spec at all..
