Do you receive credits/exp for arcade or practise.
Will o be able to race in a custom race with damage and receive credits? If so great.

I don't get the online dealership thing. How is it affected by other users? If it's not (as it seems) then why/how is it "online"? Maybe every player has the same cars available at all times and the list updates randomly. There are 12 slots for cars instead of 30(?) and more rare cars. In mine I have a purple veyron, a green FGT, FIVE random skylines, CLK Touring Car, Abt TT Touring Car, Countach Anniv. Ed. and two pickup trucks.

Exasctly, why add this online dealership when we already have 2 dealerships whats the point?

Why is prize money only greater until JAN? Should stay this way always with cars costing 20 million
 
There's mechanical damage as an option in practice. Is this for A-Spec too? I'm busy checking everything and am leaving A-spec for last. But even having it as an option offline is just awesome.
 
is there a option in arcade / practice mode for changing time and weather parameters on the tracks ?

My install took 3+ hrs :( Is the hard drive faster in the newer models of the PS3? I have an old fat one
 
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here is a summary of the changes from the Gran-Turismo site:

A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:

・Seasonal Events
[Seasonal Events] have been added to the [GT Mode] - [GT Life] screen. From here you can participate in official online events from the Polyphony Digital team.
In these events, all participants are under the same regulations, and if you complete the event you will win rewards and experience. Compete on the leader boards with players around the world, in Time Trials and Drift Trials!

・Online Collector's Dealership
An [Online Collector's Dealership] has been added to the left and centre of the [GT Mode]-[GT Life] screen. In here you will find popular and rare cars.
You might just come across that one car you’ve always been looking for, that you haven’t been able to find in the [Used Car Dealership]

・Online Race Rewards and Experience
When you complete a race in the [Open Lobby] or [My Lounge], you will now gain rewards and experience points.
Even if you are focused more on playing online, you’ll still be able to gain rewards and levels that you need to progress in [GT Life].

・Driving Distance and Number of Wins in Online Races
The driving distance and the number of wins you achieve when you complete a race in [Open Lobby] or [My Lounge] will now affect your stats in [Profile] and the [Garage].
Here the results from your online play will cumulate within [GT Life].

・Improved Rewards
The rewards for winning races in both A-Spec and B-Spec in [GT Mode]-[GT Life] have been increased for a limited time only. (This applies until the end of January 2011)
This is a great chance for those who were previously having difficulties getting ahead in the game, due to a lack of funds for tuning and purchasing required cars.

・Race Information Display
It is now possible to set the [Race Info Display] in [Start]-[Quick Options]. (You can also set this in [Race Display] in [Options]).

・Save Data Backup
You can now copy and restore your save data. For details, please refer to the in-game [Manual].

・User BGM (Menu)
From [Options]-[Hardware]-[Audio Settings], it is now possible to set the [User BGM] (Menu)]. (This can also be set from the [Music Library] within [GT Mode]).

・Car Name Change
The official name of "Red Bull X1" has been changed to the "Red Bull X2010".

・Integration with the Website
The main features within [GT Mode]-[Community] can now also be accessed through the "gran-turismo.com" official website.

* We have made improvements to the [Log] within [GT Mode]- [Community] section, in order to make its operation more stable. Please note that the information that was contained here from before the update has been reset.

With the cash and experience points payed out through the Seasonal Events beginner are going to be able to very quickly build up their funds and A-spec level. This may be good news for the individuals who lost their game progression due to the game freezing on them.
 
Since they had increased the Cr rewards and a lot of Cr for winning Bonus events, do they removed the 20mil Cr limit? Anyone can confirm?
 
You can finally turn your hud completely off, awesome!

Seems like the leaderboards are only limited to the seasonal events as far as I know. Any one find a way to post a leaderboard time in different cars or in practice?

Sorry but I do not think that is good information. I just tested it myself, if you pause, the only option is a button that says "Back to Top", even on later laps in the replay. There is no way to jump around lap to lap in either direction, just to go straight back to the start of the race. :(

For sure it is not a lap rewinder, but a replay rewinder. Because if it would be a lap rewinder, it should be possible to fast forward a lap. Would be so silly to just rewind the lap, because you would still need to watch the whole replay.

Why it will recycel with a various amount of rare to get cars... It's a big happy moment for me seeing 5 cars i want to buy all together...

And seriously guys, this update is changing the gameplay massively. I know i will stop grinding now that i know everything can be played with an ease and chilly mood now.

I will be alot in the online time trials and drift trials too...

This will be insane...

May the fiest begin! ;)
 
What about that new rally event? I got a message saying there was a new one, but it looks like it's one we already could do as long as you are level 15.

question are those cars in the online dealership premium or standards ??

It's not different than how some games do a double XP weekend so that people can boost over that time. Whenever this boost comes to an end they'll probably add more Seasonal Events, which will continue to give people access to high XP/CR rewards.
