I notice a difference in handling for the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 because I bought it before the update and it was stock except some added aero parts and I race it at the first event of NA tune at Expert mode with the sport hard tires.
Before the update, it was a bit handful around the corners and took a bit while to reach number one but after the update, the handling improve a bit by 40% and it doesn't slide around very much as it used to ..
can anyone confirm this?

I find it quite funny, that PD decided to hide the instruments, but keep the statistics on the screen
I mean, what is more important? To drive the car and see it´s limits or watch the screen to see the statistiscs.
I've probably missed this somewhere, but is there a site I can get the update from on my PC, toss it on a USB or something and plug it in? My PS3's a lot further from the wireless point than is useful for downloading something this big.

There are no new events, they just changed the needed level to unlock them to 15 and if you've already a level of 15 or above, you will "unlock" them again.
Are you sure it wasn't prompting you to install the update you just downloaded? Obviously you don't need to re-install the game from disc again (as this would overwrite the update). Is installing the game a requirement after downloading and installing 1.05? It prompted me to intall the game after I downloaded the update.
I don't get notifications but I do see that my paint chips increased.
...checked on my second account as well, have 5 new paint chips and I've only bought one car.

Has anyone noticed a problem with this new change of letting you run a race again after it is finished without having to reload. It seems that in implementing this the race results are no longer available at the end of a race in B-spec. It seems to instead show the race grid for the next race, this means you can't see how your driver finished if you were not there to see the end of the race. Have others noticed this?
TO ALL WHO GOT FREEZE AFTER THE UPDATE...
Here the answer: (because it happenned to me too)
1. Delete the Game Data Utility - GT5
Sometimes it freeze too, but it's oke, just restart your PS, (file is corrupt) and try do delete again until the file delete
DO NOT DELETE SAVED DATA UTILITY!!!!!
2. Download again the update
The point is: your PS should be not save data GT before update, file crash.
The update should install first, then the game.
@MMeglen: it works to me, I hope it works to you too
Sorry for my english
Thank you very much..
I will try that...

I always use PS3 Proxy to download large updates. Works really well
