No, I tried it before dl'ing 1.05 again. It is downloading nowDid all the updates download ?
Because from the times of the posts, I don't think there was enough time to download them all...
No, I had 1.04 prior and got no messageIf you try 1.05 save on 1.00 it gives you corrupted message if Im not terribly wrong?
If you try 1.05 save on 1.01-1.04 game tells you "Your savedata is newer version please update your game"
So I guess you got that corrupted message first,?
Then you started game, game overwrites also your backup data....
I just got it back... Good advice on the update not having completed. Thank u all for your help, I really appreciate ithmm.. I had no issues myself but before I updated I made a backup of my save data to USB just in case.
It does sound like your save data got deleted. I take it that you have not made a backup of your save at some point?
Hopefully this is the right place to post this as it's a problems (plural) page, and not just confined to one problem found by one person.
Here's my issue... I decide to start going for the platinum trophy and make my way to the first race I've yet to complete, which happens to be the second race of the City Trial in the National B License section.
I'm confronted with the following, which means I cannot take part in the race:

Anyone else experienced this issue? Has it always been there or is it something new to 1.05?
EDIT:
It's the same issue with race 3 of the same event, too.
I've had this issue before 1.05 once, just quit and restart the event.
I had this a long time ago, I just re-started the game....(V1.01)...
Anyone else having this issue?
Before Update 1.05 BestLap (Arcade Mode Time Trial) would stick and be visible as long as I had 1 one full lap run, even if I restarted. Now, after Update 1.05, it disappears if I restart, regardless of how many laps I have run.
I can still see my ghost (both on track and map), I just cannot see my best lap for the session.
OK, Thank youThis seems to be something new to 1.05. It's a similar situation to Online practise mode where once you exit track, your time is lost but your split times are still compared to the fastest of the session drivers currently on track. Obviously, you're the only driver on track so I'm guessing the game compares to your previously set PB laptime.
This is something that was implemented, I think, to fix the previous issue of laptimes not being compared to the fastest lap for the entirety of the lap.
Hopefully that helps 👍

I agree. Not knowing is very annoying.I hope this wasn't implemented and that they go back to how it was or at least to where it shows the fastest lap for any session. That way the player can know whether to push harder and aim for a better lap.
Best thing to do is do what everyone else who's been having issues has had to do and delete the game data and then reinstall I'd say, see if that fixes it.I had no problems with 1.05 and then I install the patch this morning and I'm having trouble. I was grinding for a couple hours on the Red Bull standard car championship and it was working fine, and then the last race of the championship glitches. It was at the Ring, I pressed start and then the music cut out and it had the loading sign but the race wouldn't start. I could back out (though the music wasn't back), and I keep trying to select race again and the same thing kept happening. I went to quit game, system couldn't get out and couldn't turned itself off so I unplugged the PS3 from the back, had no choice. I did the whole error report and recovery thing and went back to start the championship again and on the first race at Silverstone, which it let me run in full, the track wouldn't fully render and the music was cutting in and out. After the race it froze trying to exit the track. I tried quitting the game and it did. I got back in to the championship and the same thing happened at Silverstone, so I turned off the system while it was trying to exit the race, hoping I could get the error report, but when I turned it back on no error report, then I had to go to work.
But then I'd have to back up my data or else lose my progress, right? I think I'm only having the problem with the Red Bull championship so I think I can just wait for a patch, right?Best thing to do is do what everyone else who's been having issues has had to do and delete the game data and then reinstall I'd say, see if that fixes it.
As long as you don't delete your save game data then you shouldn't lose anything. There's a gt6 back up in your save data just in case anyway, everyone has it.But then I'd have to back up my data or else lose my progress, right?
