Wanted to thank all of the top 32 for giving me a fantastic weekend! Great fun following along with my team mates and all the fans of the other drivers. The live stream was SO bonus! Much thanks to all who made that happen!

Now Silverstone and a Time Brother (maybe two?) to root for. The best is yet to come!

Hi All,

I've received several messages asking basically "What the hell happened...?" etc. so I've decided to post a brief description here:

In summary, I struggled massively and could not learn / adapt to the Thrustmaster brake pedal (several millimeters of deadzone where I thought I was braking, but wasn't,) steering wheel (force feedback seemed inconsistent and very strong,) and sound levels (could barely hear anything, including tire squeal / noise) they used for the finals. I was several seconds off my usual pace, blowing braking zones, missing apexes (like 5 feet off my usual lines,) and having tank-slapping moments everywhere, including crashes in both of my qualifying laps:

Race 1 - Tsukuba - S15: Crashed in quali, started 4th, finished 4th. Got walked by RacerX.

Race 2 - Tsukuba - S15: Started 4th (based on previous race results,) made opportunistic turn 1 pass on lap 1 for 3rd place, which I managed to hold on to. Got walked by RacerX.

Race 3 - Trial Mountain Reverse - 370Z: Crashed in quali, started 4th, finished 4th. Got walked by A7X-Maverick.

Race 4 - Trial Mountain Reverse - 370Z: Started 4th (based on previous race results,) was bareley hanging on to the pack for the 1st lap before I lost the throttle pedal. Took officials nearly 45 seconds to deduce I had pressed a button on the steering wheel that inverted the pedal inputs. Game over.

Well that's it, see you next year!

You will definetly make it again next year im sure of that Joey. It was great to have met you. Im definetly rooting for Nick to do well in silverstone. Dont forget to add me on psn so we can run some spec races.

Thats a shame joey, your fully capable of being the top 16 if not the top 8 i believe, a good experience, and come back stronger next year, i enjoyed practising with you before, had some really good races i thought, hopefully we can race more in the future. It is hard to adapt in the final as im sure anyone will agree.
