Seems like the issue with Sony servers appears at differnt time for people all over the world.
Anyone know a solution to the problem, or is just to sit and wait for Sony to fix their servers?
I know, it sucks. Just read an article about a group of hackers calling them self "anonymous" attacking Sony servers over a lawsuit Sony filed on hacker George Hotz. That is why the server is down rigth now.
Hopefully it's an update.

What sony is doing to it's own customers in the class action lawsuit, and the geohot lawsuit, is pretty heinous. I have one of the fat PS3's and I ran linux on it, and I am rather insulted sony has accused all users who installed linux of being jailbreakers.
Wow, strange.
I'm sure if they getting catched they have to pay a lot of $$$ for the financial loss of Sony.
Anyways, i am done with b-Spec grinding for now (lvl 39/2.000.000XP), only the two 24hr endurance races left & then i am lvl 40.![]()

I also can't help but realize they could go after Yonis, and all of us, for using the grinder...
On the other hand, dangit, I want my grinding. I just want to buy up all of the $10 million+ cars, THEN anonymous can do whatever they want![]()
I work i get paid; i wouldn't work if i didn't. Now all the good people who work at Sony get paid for the great job they do, their pay comes from sales and it all evolves and we get better games and consoles as time goes by. Now you get some bludgers who think the world owes them something who think they have the rights to copy games for free disrupting this world order. We all miss out for this small group of hacker extremists who only think of this as a game, but this game they play can ruin all our future gaming. All gamers unite get the word out, hackers with brains join in too and condemn these actions by this small number of extremist. They dont care who they hurt on the way, they say its Sony they have the beef with because Sony took action to stop them steeling their products. But they stuff millions of people around and think these people admire them for their righteous stand, they are obviously delusional as their stand is not righteous.
I gladly pay for my products because I know a good percentage of that money goes back into research and development that results in the high quality games I play today. Been doing it for 20 plus years on consoles and even longer on arcade games. Not happy with these young ungratefulls stuffing this tradition up and possibly destroying the future of gaming all together.
LOL, it has nothing to do with piracy. Anon hacked Sony because Sony wants to go after people like badpenguin because he put linux on his PS3.I work i get paid; i wouldn't work if i didn't. Again, LOL. Has absolutely zero to do with piracy. You think? What you put linux on for? its all about jailbreak and thats why i think its crap these guys are disrupting us to get back at someone whos stoopping them steal.

Then why remove that feature?I'm sure Sony couldn't care less if one or two people hacked the PS3, put linux back on it or whatever.
ShawnPhillipsnope, I can't connect either. guess I'll go play minecraft.
Aren't Sony going after Geohot due to him posting how to hack the PS3 everywhere? Anon are responding as they don't like the example Sony are making of Geohot and how Sony are going about it.
It has very little to do with Linux, and I'm sure Sony couldn't care less if one or two people hacked the PS3, put linux back on it or whatever. The issue Sony would have is when the hackers go and announce it to the world and post a 'how to' online for everyone to use.
Heck, ever since this started, I've had trouble accessing GTplanet whenever the PSN goes down. This is ridiculous and Anon are at fault, or at least thats who I'm blaming while this is going on..
Then why remove that feature?
Except Geo is against piracy & hacked the PS3 for his own use. He shared the information with others in case they wanted to as well. The pirates used it for their own needs.Sony removed the feature as Geohot found a weakness in it to potentially get in and run homebrew code, which would lead to pirated games. Geohot when and announced this as soon as he could, Sony responded by removing the feature, nipping it in the bud before anything worse could come from it. If Geohot was doing it just to run his own homebrew on the PS3 and kept it to himself, then we would likely still have the other OS option available today.
I'm against the actions taken by Anon, but I respect their gumption to stand up to the mighty dictatorship that is Sony.
