USB Keyboard + Mouse

Is there anyway to use the keyboard and mouse in games? Or does it need to have a special setting for that in the game?

I wanted to try the Resistance Demo with keyb+mouse but it didn't work

The games are only capable of mapping the buttons to a SIXAXIS. Still, they probably wouldn't allow you to use the keyboard and mouse because that will give those players an advantage.

Ever since I heard UT3 was coming out on the PS3, I had a feeling this would also happen, and well keyboard & mouse support in UT3 on the PS3 has now been fully confirmed:

Mark Rein from Epic has made PS3 owners who love FPS games very happy today! After a long period of "will they, wont they" It is finally confirmed that Epic will be including the much requested keyboard and mouse support for its PS3 title Unreal Tournament 3!

Rein also confirmed that they are very conscious of making the gameplay in UT3 fair and balanced for users of a standard pad as well as the keyboard and mouse fans. So a simple system of letting people choose whether they want to play against people using a different control system or not will be implemented.

Rein also confirmed that there is more to learn about the eagerly anticipated title. Any PS3 owner should be salivating over Epics long awaited addition to the Unreal series as UT3 truly will be a key title for the PS3 and a real test of the consoles online abilities.

Giving players the chance to use a keyboard and mouse is also fantastic news and I for one can not wait to headshot, double kill, multi kill, ultra kill and monster kill my way through the hordes of players clamoring for some fast and furious FPS action on their PS3! Bring it on!

Awesome mouse and keyboard support, if other FPS's gave that support I would actually buy some (FPS games) on PS3, as for now using the controller, I can't stand it.

No reason they couldn't, but it is entirely up to each game developer to add support for keyboard & mouse into their games.
