usb problems?

First the second usb doesn't work, then my first usb is messing up the d-pad on my wheel. has anyone ele had problems with the usb on your ps2? Should I buy a new ps2? It's the original model, not the slim one.

hmmm...... could be anything really, but dont rush out and buy a new one just yet......

1. Try blowing in it..... seriously mine was full of dust when it was malfunctioning..... worth a try.

2. Try using another USB device... like try saving a GT4 photomode pic to a stick and see if it works...

3. Look at the usb cable and end..... is it damaged or loose..... jiggle it around when connected and playing to see what happens...

4. If all of this still doesnt work open it up and investigate if your willing to... see if the usb wirea to the sockets are all connected properly...

......then buy a new ps2 if all this doesnt work!

Like Robin said, try using a different USB device, it might be the flash drive itself, you can use mp3 players and i-pods as normal flash drives

It's official, the wheel is busted because I tested it first with another game, NFS6 and then GT4 on my friend's ps2. the buttons just start becoming useless and the d-pad buttons won't work. Also like I said, the left button is virtually pushed in-game.

I'm deciding on a new wheel to buy now.

No actually I think it's my game disc because somewhere in the game I can't even use a controller.
