I would like to ask the question.
Why are there cars in Gran Turismo 6 that have a power point ratings that are way to high, for them to be usable in any of the current single player events?

Like the red bull cars? What exact cars are you talking about?

Yes I am talking about the red bull cars and basically any car that exeeds 750 power points, stock standard.
My reason for this post, is I just bought the formula gran tusrimo for two million credits and it was a complete waste of that many credits.

The FGT is a good car for single make races, free runs and online.
Back in GT5 people complained because it was needed in an event and it could only be obtained at random in the Used Car Dealership!

If you need it for something in particular, I suppose you could try reducing power and adding ballast, but even then I'm not sure if it'll be eligible

You know what's a useless car we NEED? This:

The FGT is anything but useless. I bought it early on even though I have only driven it a couple of times I feel it is a must have in the garage.

There is more to the game than just the single player mode. If that were all it was they could easily remove about 1,000 cars from the game.

Even the so called dupes are not useless, some people prefer one model over the other and by having both it adds variety.

I complained about the same thing from the very first week. Why is there no Formula 1 exclusive championship like in all the other gran turismos? Why no endurance? And why is the soul of the game gone? Also I always wanted a "Le Mans" car-type whole chapter since those are my favorite cars, they are just beautiful and interesting to drive.

I can't imagine that it would be hard to create a new single-player campaign, just select the stages, laps, weather, PP... done. I can't understand for the life of me why this is not happening. I haven't played GT6 since the first week of release because of this. And no, the new CONCEPT cars are not gonna change the fact that there are no more missions/things to do.

So if you haven't played since the first week then there is a lot you did not do. Some is still available and some you just missed out on.

I did so many seasonals back in GT5 that I got tired of that lazy formula.
They added the red bull events, 3 championship series of races there that are both pretty cool and pay well. The RB kart, Jr, Standard and Fan cars. There is also the Senna content which has 3 new cars and a few events and they have added some seasonal A-Spec races as well. Some real cars and some concept cars on top of that.

Personally I would have liked to have had an FGT race. I would like to have more events on the Ring. I really do not care that the endurance races are gone. They really were long and boring. After running them all in GT4 and most of them in GT5 I would not care if I never saw another race that is over 2 hours. The 24 hours ones were really bad, 20 minutes to take the lead 23 hours lapping the other cars

The last thing this game needs is more cars. Unless there are enough championships/challenges to use this cars on then there's no point to it.

I collected all cars in GT5 and it took months, but somehow now in GT6 I quickly got bored and I'm not entirely sure why. Perhaps the Use Cars Dealership has something to do with it, there was always that rare car that could show up at any time and I have to be ready to buy it.

Also I'm not really into very long races like the 24h ones, unless they find a way to keep it interesting for that long. Like parts of the car falling down, having to think when to go to the pit to refuel or change tires or any other car problems then maybe it could work. But the endurance races we have now? No. I completed the whole endurance chapter in one afternoon.

Every Kei car and anything below 100KM/H are very useless cars. Cars like the Bugatti Veyron and all the Red Bull cars are the most useful.

I hate the Veyron, useless to me. I guess if all you do is drive on SSRX it may have its uses but that would be so boring to me.

The Red Bull JR is pretty cool, the others are fun on rare occasions but are to fast and grippy to suit me.

As for the slow cars, well it depends on where you are driving them. Yes they would be horribly boring on Daytona Speedway or SSRX (of course everything is boring on SSRX) but you get those slower cars on some of the short tight tracks and put them on some low grade tires and they become rather interesting. They also make for some very close racing when you get a good group of drivers on the right track. They are also a nice switch up when you get tired of doing 200 mph and need to slow down for a while while still driving flat out.

Those 'useless' slow cars are perhaps some of the most useful cars to drive in teaching you how to maximize momentum and exit speeds through a corner.

As for the thread topic, I can kind of understand your point about how you can't really use those extremely high PP cars in career mode. Though you can in Arcade mode, it would be nice to be able to mix them with other cars rather than the game forcing you into a one make race. For example, the Lotus 97T vs the FGT vs the Redbull Standard.
