Why people always assume Midget is the useless one?

Remember the saying "The best place are the first and last".

For me, if PD suddenly wants to eliminate standard cars, they can spare this car:

Toyota Voltz

I've driven about 90% of the cars in GT6, and that 130hp Toyota Voltz is one I've been dreading to drive.

At least the Pontiac Vibe GT has the 180hp Celica/MR2 Spyder/Elise engine for Christ sakes...

There is no such thing as a useless car. Every car can be used in some way, which is what makes this game interesting. I personally enjoy taking a smaller Kei car such as a Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ, tuning it for a certain PP (usually 400), and running it in a 400PP lobby. It might not win, but for me, that's not always what I aim for. As long as I have fun, to me, that's all that matters. I do not care for super cars in this game, since unlike Kei cars and smaller city cars, you can practically find them in ANY racing game involving real cars. Kei cars are essentially unique to the GT series, and I find them a real treat to drive. I have more fun tossing a slightly modified Autozam around the winding corners of Suzuka and getting a laugh out of it, rather than racing a car I know I'll NEVER afford in real life around the same course.
To whoever said Kei cars and underpowered cars in general were useless obviously hasn't unlocked their true potential (or is just a supercar freak running them with all assists on and RS tires). Sure, they might be low on the totem pole in terms of power, but power ISN'T everything you know. Combined with their incredibly light curb weight (usually between 500kg and 850kg), clearly they're suited for tight and twisty courses such as Trial Mountain and Suzuka East.
Whether is be trying to set a new speed record in the Red Bull X2014 Fan Car, or racing Kei cars against bigger and more powerful cars and absolutely shredding them, there's something in Gran Turismo 6 for everyone.

So no love for "normal" cars like Toyota Starlet and Honda Oddysey?

Oh duh lol how could I forget I even did a Suzuka time trial with it!

1.3L
132 hp / 6,400 rpm
116 ft-lb / 4,800 rpm
920 kg
368 pp

I think the SL 3000GT is useless because it have 2 much weight vs cars near of the price of the SL 3000GT & the 4wd on the SL make it understeer 2 much in every corner you go in, Not really fun to drive, Stock spring are too soft for an entry sport car.

I haven't the foggiest what you're talking about.

Well the mitsubishi SL 3000GT in
resume is more useless than an Auto-union (Audi) streamliner

Sience it canot have an aftermarket Turbo on the SL it 1 big problem So you should buy the Twin turbo one's.

The twin turbo 3000GT understeer less because of the higher HP, even if the SL is N/A.

I don't think there is a single useless car. All cars in the game were made and put into the game with a purpose.
What is the purpose of the Nissan SKYLINE GT-R Special Color Midnight Purple II (R34) '99 and the Nissan SKYLINE GT-R Special Color Midnight Purple III (R34) '00?

This might be an egregious example, but I find the concept versions of production cars, the same of which appear in the game, quite useless, even if they are standards. I'm not going to be interested in driving a concept car from 2001 that formed the base for a production model from 2005.

The only cars I find useless are just ones that PD made up to suit regional examples in past games that no longer need to be there anymore. The example I refer to most is the 180/200/240SX fiasco. The 180SX Type X is a real car. Fine. The 200SX is real. Fine. The 240SX (again) is real. Fine. What's not fine is keeping the bodywork and engine for two regional variants that never came in that level of trim or were even produced at that time. If they'd modeled all of the variants with their respective engines and bodywork (and a correct year of manufacture), they would all actually be classed as different, and would make more sense. But no, they just add in two identical cars barring a different texture for the badge and the vanity plate. The MX-5/Miata/Roadster is just as bad in this regard.

Whereas i'll always pick the oddity of a concept over the production car. I love quirky things.

I too love those interesting oddities. But, I think about what features make me enjoy a car in GT, and that is the tuning and premium modeling. I think I mentioned this in my previous post, but when cars have restricted or no tuning options I tend to enjoy them less. Yes, I'll enjoy driving cars stock and what not too; it's not all black and white with me. But as 2clicks put it, these redundant or half-assed cars that PD gives us feel useless to me. I think the key to ensuring a car is enjoyable to drive is to make the experience of driving it in-game unique.
