That was funny when Monteiro was celebrating while schumy and Barri walked off.
Monteiro:"woo!!!"
Schumy:"retard"
Barrichello:"idiot"

 I know! Like a little kid with a new bike!

Monterio started the interview laughing and the interviewer, who has always been serious with his questions, just started laughing with his first question. Great stuff!

Wow, I think Montiero is the first driver ever to actually use the drinks they provide at the interview session!

Well, Monteiro did add another one into the streak of most finishes by a rookie as well.

Also, Monteiro has a lot of friends in Indianapolis, he even has a home there too.

He drove a good race too, plenty for him to be happy about. He shouldn't be pissed off because of Ferrari not going with the rest of the teams.

If it wasn't for Jordan deciding at the last second to run, it would've been a two-car race FFS.

Monteiro is so far rookie of the year, so I don't know where comments about this being the only time he'll ever be there about are for. Rest of the season, a podium may be out of the question, but he's definitely got potential.

Whoa, now that race is going to stay and classic for all the wrong reasons. and now Michael is 10 points closer to Kimi and Alonso which annoys the hell out of me.

I'm just waiting for the SPEED announcers to come and be like. They showing of the race was just a joke. Here is the real one with all of the teams participating.

He is savouring this moment because it may never happen for him again! even if it means have a sip of the provided press conference drinks!

I think its gonna be another photoshop fest of 'take the pi**' USA GP images

maybe they'll prosecute the guy who they caught on camera throwing the bottle on the track from the garbage can.

I just feel sorry for the hundreds of thousands of fans that went to see that, and i hope they get there money back. I believe that will be the last grand prix in US for a very long time, and i can't see a future for michelin in formula 1.

The only people that the blame can go to is michelin, they knew the rules, they knew the track, yet somehow could only produce a tyre that would go around turn 13 for 10 laps, whereas bridgestones predicted wear was 100 laps. 10 laps wouldn't even be enough even if they could change the tyres in pitstops! How can one of motorsports and the worlds biggest tyre manufacturers get it so wrong.

I completely stand with the FIA on the decision not to include a chicane, because it is not fair to change a curcuit because 7 teams arrived with shoddy equipment. The rules state they are allowed to bring a second tyre to race of a harder compound, but michelin deemed this tyre unsafe also. I mean come on two different tyre types both unsafe , both designed specifically for this curcuit. They wanted to use the tyre compound used in the spanish GP but rightly so the FIA declined. There is talks of the FIA taking michelin to court over bringing the sport into disripute.

This is a bad day for formula 1 👎

If I were driving for Jordan under those circumstances, I would be pretty mixed about it. There's just no honor in that...not to say Monterio was wrong , as I can see why he's excited, but I would have acted differently. In fact, if I were in Schumi's position, I might have turned down the points...I would have loved to race, but to gain any championship points for it is just...wrong.

And "odd" Grand Prix, indeed.

Highlights on TV tonight!

That'll be a short programme. The one highlight was Martin Brundle's comment:

"If Schumacher does a victory leap on the podium I'll go up there and punch him myself."

After watching Le Mans today, that was PATHETIC... FIA --> :dunce: :dunce:

I'm fed up of this. The FIA don't want racing. They don't want competition. They just want money, and to that end -they want Ferrari. Always Ferrari and the FIA going against everyone else. If Ferrari had not been soo arsy, we might have had a race. But then who do you blame?? Not Michelin I say - at least they admitted something was wrong. The FIA and Ferrari would never do that. Tossers.

Down with F1?? Yes please.

I wholly agree. I would have done the same.

That is exactly what F1 needs. A day in court. They already look bad enough as it is with their stupid one race tire for the entire weekend rule. Taking Michelin to court would be another dumb move. The FIA has messed up as badly as Michelin by putting drivers into troubles harm that the no tire change rule could bring about. And I thought that rule was to promote better safety . . .

You make a good point, but if F1 was to have any sort of future in the USA, a compromise would have to be made, since the vast majority of US fans are very casual F1 fans, and have no idea about the politics of the sport (then again, the same can be said even for diehard fans). The fact that the FIA did not add in a chicane, and virtually forced the other teams not to run is absurd; they just alienated themselves from nearly 300 million potential fans.

Michelin knew the rules, the FIA rules state they can bring a harder compound tyre in case of curcumstances like this yet somehow this was also unsafe.

It is michelins fault.

It's ovious you don't know what you are talking about. Michelin just brought the ****ing wrong tyre, so it;s their fault. You can't blame ferrari and the FIA, they are just obaying the rules.

I would rather have seen seen Albers on the podium. Schumi finished first:cheers:

I'm really starting to like Rubens. He's the only one who didn't seem in denial and who looked honest after the race. MS only gave BS apologetics and Monteiro was having a great time... I understand he's happy, but man, the champain was a bit too much.

Well the Constructors and Drivers Championships are really messed up now. Schumi is now only three points behind Kimi and Ferrari is tied with McLaren.
