He and Ron Dennis both blamed Button in their interviews during the race - they said that he closed up on JPM so that JPM was preoccupied with Button and didn't notice Kimi braking, then Button hit him as well...

The TV coverage doesn't really carry that idea.

Sato tried to blame Monteiro for closing the door on him, rather than own up to yet another dumbass lunge.

I think this race just underscores the fact that Massa is useless. I did rate him before the season &#8211; but after seeing him get two podiums out of a car that&#8217;s capable of winning &#8230; well, it&#8217;s not doing anything for his career prospects.

Other than that, it was an interesting race. Good to see Trulli, Coulthard, and Liuzzi score points. Rosberg was dissapointing, says he didn&#8217;t have the car underneath him.

Was interesting to see Fisichella take Alonso to school for the first time under real circumstances.

All three of my FF1 drivers were eliminated in the first 15 seconds of the race. At least Alonso didn't walk away with the race...my wife and I took guesses on when Massa was going to relinquish the lead to Schumacher:

(Pick only one, or you'll be accused of allowing Ferrari drivers to race one another.)

Strange race, did Alonso give up and stop trying or was he really struggling with the car? Good for DC to get yet another point, maybe he going to finnish stronger in the last half than he started?

France next with 2 weeks to wait... I expect normal coverage to continue, let's face it this track was always going to be a Ferrari win...

Well, I imagine it&#8217;s difficult to keep it together everytime you race.

Considring he was about 3 meters behind Kimi, while travelling at about 110+ kph, I think he&#8217;d be doing pretty well to react to Kimi&#8217;s braking quickly enough to avoid drilling him&#8230; Especially since it&#8217;s a point in the corner where they&#8217;d normally be leaning on the accelerator.

He had a good pit stop (no Ferrari "oops! sorry, felipe!") and he still ended up behind Michael after the first pit stop! It wasn't even close! Sometimes I think that there are special wormholes that Michael drives through on his out-laps. It's ridiculous. Defensive street driving does not apply to racing. When racing, what's behind you is not important (unless that something happens to be Takuma Sato).

It's good to see a driver with so many wins in the carreer (80+) and still be so happy with "one more"! He may have "a very unpleasant character" , but he's good. That's what I think.

Your big ups towards Michael didn't go unnoticed but, you should really take a look at yourself first before you start judging other people!

It's the first corner of the race, it's a bad corner to get round in the middle of the pack, surely these things should have been a consideration for him and the cars can stop very very quickly...

Granted. But I'm not sure that my driving would be considered defensive, even so they are at a much higher level than myself and I'm not sure that I entirly agree with your statment about what's happening behind you... As a driver you need to have some understanding of what's all around you including behind, I know it's difficult in a modern F1 car.

According to the ITV footage I saw, Massa was driving away from Schumi during the first stint... He has beaten him before and I believe that Massa is a contender to Michaels positition in Ferrari rather than being a stool pidgeon like the others...

I was really disappointed when I had seen Scott Speed was out of the race and was I had also seen Kimi was also out of the race, I was that much more disappointed. I was really hoping for Scott Speed to do well and he didn't even have a chance to do well in the race.
