That's interesting g_t_b, because I've raced garage cars in Arcade mode, and it has seemed that the game has stripped all the mods from the cars. I wonder if this is a regional thing, but my C5r was about 4 seconds a lap slower round Midfield in Arcade than in Simulation. Plus it felt sluggish and lacking grip.

nope. everything applies to both.
and another downside:
i had a red Miata that i had souped up: trick rims, stage 1 turbo, lightweight,... and i used it in a hard difficulty race on Tokyo R246. Guess what the PS2 matched me up with???? Class A cars, like the NSX!!! I was in a Class C, maybe competitive in Class B, car. I just quit. No way. Impossible.

on the arcade menu my skyline vtecII reads 276bhp but when I get it on the track the mods are still live and kicking pushing the 1092bhp in
2-3secs from 0-60mph but my 787B sux in arcade, so does my C5R, the calsonic skyline and my baby: the Nissan 390R.
