I used my F1 car to unlock some of the arcade stuff, I went into GT mode and found out that it had put on all the miles I had done in arcade mode. I thought arcade and GT modes were seperate

nope. everything applies to both.

and another downside:
i had a red Miata that i had souped up: trick rims, stage 1 turbo, lightweight,... and i used it in a hard difficulty race on Tokyo R246. Guess what the PS2 matched me up with???? Class A cars, like the NSX!!! I was in a Class C, maybe competitive in Class B, car. I just quit. No way. Impossible.

That's interesting g_t_b, because I've raced garage cars in Arcade mode, and it has seemed that the game has stripped all the mods from the cars. I wonder if this is a regional thing, but my C5r was about 4 seconds a lap slower round Midfield in Arcade than in Simulation. Plus it felt sluggish and lacking grip.

Is this just me, or has anyone else noticed anything similar?

NO that happened also to me in the arcade mode i cant use my full mods car... i dunno why...anyone can help us?

Oh and someone knows who to unlock the other tracks in the arcade mode?

Tnx yall

To unlock all the tracks you just have to win the races. You have to win a whole section though, there are 6 sections I think (A-F). But if you win the sections on hard difficulty you'll win 2 cars.

Please forgive the vanity of me quoting myself, but I can now confirm that this happens. Tonight, I used the Escudo on one of the Arcade rallies, and its power was quoted as 980BHP, instead of the 1795 (standard + stage 3 turbo) in GT mode.

So there's an answer for you!

hate when that happens

on the arcade menu my skyline vtecII reads 276bhp but when I get it on the track the mods are still live and kicking pushing the 1092bhp in
2-3secs from 0-60mph but my 787B sux in arcade, so does my C5R, the calsonic skyline and my baby: the Nissan 390R.
Polyphony testteam screwed up again, AGAIN!!! :P

it was the same performance, just paired up against much better cars.

Arcade mode pitted my Storia X4 against Mustangs and Skyline R34s. I learned to drive good REAL quick!!! :D

arcade mode does not take power from your cars....or anything not even rims...
when you pick your cars in arcade mope....for example.my supra has 1071 HP..
but wen i go to arcade mode it says 276 hp at the car selection screen ...that is just what its suposed to be (stock) but when you race...it doesnt have 276 hp..its got 1071 hp cuz on arcade mode my supra goes 280 mph on the test course and i know 276 hp wont make it go 280mph, i've already experimented.....there's NO difference
