XBox sucks
is ther n e possible way of being able to use these headsets while playing online?? or does the ps3 camera work either?? get back to me plz

What you mean your not using your headset to speak to people racing on-line - oh man you are missing out big time.

Only joking - if this was working i think it would be defo pinned to the main board as a permanent post.

Nope. None of them work while playing.

That's why I have ventrilo.. d-(^^d-)

I do not really think this will happen.
Why?

Comminucation though headsets while you're playing has been possible in games for years now, so there's no reason it'll become available soon. It would be a considerable flaw if they don't add it.

Using the headset to distract others but there will probably be a mute so I duno

it would be great though

i agree with G.T. ive been playing call of duty 4 (online) now for a while and the gaming experience is better wen u have the headset on. i find it allows for better comunication and also for GT5 wood help people tryin to pass others whiole driving. informin the other player that u will b passing them. the private room thing will b nice to b cuz im tired of not being able to race my buddies due to not havin this setup. i was dissapointed that they dint have this wen the game first came out.

I play A lot of FPS games like Counter strike, Insurgency, etc. on the PC. And it is a LOT better to play, make friends or foes, talk smack or talk good. It's fun and strategic! Besides when you're teammates talk a lot about strategy, that TEAM usually wins. Since GT5 will have CAR clubs, aka CLANS, chat feature will add a lot to gameplay when 2 teams are battling on one circuit.

You can creally see VOICE CHAT!
So it will make it into the game.
As well you can see LICENSE TEST for online. So I am guessing that only PRO players with S license can ride cars that have 500HP or more and Guys with C Licence will be riding civics and miatas. So for the guys that DO race in open rooms will have cleaner and more respectable racing.

because sony hates gamers apparently.

It's not Sony, its PD. They delay SPEAK/CHAT function. it blame it on PD not Sony. Sony build a machine, Game developers decide for things in that machine like In game voice chat or not. etc.

nox yer right gaming is 100% time better wen u can stratigically do it as opposed to just hopin everything goes to plan. i hope that they do have clans for gt5 that wood b bombin.

It will get added, but I'll only use it before and after a race.

Just gave me a idea, in private rooms there should be a sort of racers meeting beforehand were we could discuss rules or what's acceptable and what's not, if we use mandatory pit in's what lap it should be done by ask questions anything really.

After the race we could then view the replay, and talk about a manoeuvre that may have been unacceptable, discuss what should have been done and help improve the racing standards, even pass on some driver tips.

whilst writing this and reading it back I realised I was talking about GT5 and home integration :)

If you have a laptop or PC strategically placed by your racing setup, you can talk while racing online right now. Apart from Ventrillo, I was hooked in voice chat with another racer recently using Windows Messenger. He has also used Skype for the same thing. It worked really well, although we were fairly quiet during the race with ony the odd comment to one another. The sound quality was excellent with Windows Messenger, I could here him turning his DF Pro wheel and after a while I could tell where he was on the track by the movement of the wheel. It certainly added to the experience and I am looking forward to it being more widely available as an in game function.
The USB headset I used with my laptop had a mute button for the mike and so does my Bluetooth headset for the PS3 (I think). In any case I would expect the voice chat conversations to be by invite only which would mean no outsiders behaving poorly. I am told some games have open comms where you hear everyone speaking etc. I think that kind of chat would be very undesirable and just about useless. The last thing I need to hear is some half wit trash talking after ramming me and ruining my race.
