I am begining to see how this is suppose to work and i suggest a long HDMI cable and a wireless mouse and keyboard.
Actually skipping the second PC altogether in favour of some cables, peripherals and a monitor.

That's what I do now, except I don't use a mouse and keyboard, I just play pad-friendly games on my TV using either my 360 controller or Dualshock 4. The problem is that I have other rooms in my house and if I want to play PC games on them, I can't.

Can't do that, to many doors and long distance, and i still want a 2nd PC for media in my living room.

I've bought an Ouya just to try out Kainy, an Android streaming app which should hopefully mean I don't have to wait for SteamOS to include streaming and also that the hardware will only cost £100. That is if it's any good, if it isn't I'm sending the Ouya straight back.
