No, it's not.

Some cars are locked behind loot crates. You can not buy all the cars!
If you want that specific car, you have to go skinner box.

Actually, there is no car locked behind loot crates at the moment. The cars you can't buy are either awarded for winning Showcase events, completing Forza Cup "Championships" or reaching "Milestones", or will be featured in the Specialty Car Dealer or in Forzathon events in the future.

As for the VIP, it seems pretty clear to me they wanted to reduce its incentives a fair bit - which is something I understand the community actually wanted, with good reason. Seeing as the VIP pass is basically a free perk of buying the Ultimate Edition, and the in-game economy doesn't make me want twice the credits I'm getting, I don't even care. Although I realize that people who actually bought VIP (God bless their soul!) may be offended by the decision, which wasn't clearly communicated on the Store.

Well, hang on,
First, let's cover the current "Ultimate" pack.
VIP-
A couple Forza editions
A couple mod packs (25 2x credit mods) ((the mod packs or crate contain ALL of the forza edition cars, so no extra cars from these)
Hoonigan car pack
5 (hopefully) decent packs of DLC, which are usually pretty scattered in terms of content, meaning there are usually 1-4 cars I am interested in) which I think goes for most people.

So I'll start over.
1. Mod crates
2. Hoonigan cars
3. 10-20 dlc cars, spread out over the next half year

Obviously I picked the worst Forza in history to buy an "Ultimate" edition, and I'll never do it again.

PS - I left the "day one" pack out, since last I heard everyone got it.
It's all movie cars anyway, and they left the best one out.

looks like they are returning to the old Forza 6 system...

https://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm7_launch_update

plus you get 3 cars

plus you get a million credits

You should complain about these things... they listen and fix them back to the way it was

Remember the forza 5 economy rebalance

I'm sure the confusion was all on the customers' end of course, i mean its not like as if they change the T&C half way thru

The problem is that even when you eventually do the correct thing, people remember what you tried to do.. and you end up returned to where you started.

It's a improvement, at least a few new FE cars instead of FH3 copy/pasted HE cars (although I don't mind the RAM Runner for the obvious reasons :P). But still no 5 totally new cars like in the past with VIP.

But this though....
The most important thing to us is to maintain open communication with the Forza Community.
LOL, WTH is he smoking? If anyone from Turn 10 is reading this, here is an example of open communication:

So let's get off that high pedestal already. From all the games I play you are absolutely the worse developer when it comes down to communicating with the player base, absolutely at the bottom. I suggest you let those 2 so-called community managers do their job properly instead of playing the game twice a week on Twitch.

You forgot the part where SMS have been deleting complaints regarding the mess they call a game on their official forums and the passive aggressive responses regarding criticism from Chewbacca himself around these parts... They're communicating alright, but they ain't fixing ****.

I would not say absolutely worst. The game went out in tuesday, now 2 days later they announced vip will be fixed. I am sure the multiplayer and leaderboards will be fixed too.

Yeah, it's only positive messages on their forum now. They only delete/close abusive messages. They're definitely not deleting posts for simply complaining. That's just lying. You got some kind of axe to grind with them?

But this is a bit offtopic in here of course. I for one am glad T10 is doing a 180 on their previous decisions. I think their communication is fine in this regard. They tried something, didn't work out, so they change it. It's all good. 👍

Glad to see the VIP mess is getting sorted out. Now if only we could kick up enough 🤬 about those loot boxes...

The Jaguar Project 7 FE has +7500XP bonus around Top Gear Test Track. Much more pleasant than the truck :)

Hey, what can I say.. I like looking at the F-type in the menu screens much more than that nasty truck ;)
Haha fair enough you got a point there. :)

I can’t stand that Jag at all, been looking way too much at it for Goliath races in FH3. :)

You realize who you're responding to, right? Calling T10 the worst developer in terms of community communication on a Gran Turismo forum may be the funniest thing ever.

This is why you should always have your opinion heard instead of ignoring the problem. Or pretending everything's fine or worse, insist others do the same.

Ignoring issues changes nothing and you can't see the punch comming if you have your eyes closed.

Now about those micro-whasits...

I fail to see the problem with the micro-transactions. I have raced some 10 hours and I already have like 40-50 cars. And enough cash. Why is it such a big deal?

Tip, use long races and cheap mods wisely. So much cash I dont know what to do with it.

Another Forza thread, another opportunity for @breyzipp to steer it into PCARS2 adoration. You've been warned at least once already to stop trying to turn every single thread in this section into a PCARS2 comparison. Do not continue to ignore this really quite basic request.

I dont know if its at all helpful to get into a terrible comparison of the worst forms of communications among these companies.

Every company is unfortunately bad as it in it some way.

Microsoft is especially bad because they seem to always make it sound like it was the consumer's fault for a 'miscommunication'.

This is insulting. We can read. We have the ability to screen capture things. We see what you are doing and I find it condescending as a consumer to be treated like we dont see the incredibly transparent way that they are slimy.

Its like they can't even be bothered to be sneaky. They're incompetant in their greed and its somehow OUR fault?

I also think its a bit funny how people want to separate Turn10 from MS.

Hey, your money goes to them, they're all responsible for this nonsense.

I get it. Gran Turismo. They havent dont anything with GT6 for 2 yrs. They ghosted us. But their incompetance isnt Microsoft incompetance. Its something else.
