I'm still waiting to see if they at producing RedBull and HRT in 1/64 but Biante knocked them out of the park! Xbox One would be only 1/18th I'd buy though.

http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/commission-hands-down-key-rules
A number of rulings have been passed on to teams relative to the coming Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and the 2014 season. While variation to the drop gear ratio had been considered for Bathurst, the V8 Supercars Commission has decided there will be no immediate change, but could reverse that decision during the event.A change would mean a potential top speed of 310km an hour for the V8 Supercars at the Mountain, and was put forward because cars were on the rev limiter for longer at the end of the straight than in previous years at Sandown Raceway.

Applying that to Bathurst, there is the potential for torque reversal, which can cause damage to the driveline, including the transaxle. The V8 Supercars Technical Advisory Panel assessed this risk and while no change is being made at this stage, an assessment on the time spent on the rev limiter will be made after practice and Albins will carry sufficient stock if a change is, in fact, required.Technical staff will review the data from all cars, as well as taking onboard feedback from drivers. As announced prior to the commencement of the PIRTEK Enduro Cup, V8 Supercars this year is employing a mandatory minimum number of pit stops to increase parity across the field. For the 1000km race around Mount Panorama, teams will be required to complete a minimum number of seven pit stops.

Full time drive on Andy Priaulx's radar.
DTM driver Andy Priaulx sees next month’s Bathurst 1000 as an opportunity to remain “on the radar” of the V8 Supercars teams, opening the door to a possible full-time future in the class.
The 40-year-old will join his DTM rival Mattias Ekstrom in Triple Eight’s Xbox-backed wildcard entry at Bathurst.
The V8 Supercars field currently contains two ex-DTM drivers; Frenchman Alexandre Premat and German Maro Engel.
“Every championship goes through ups and downs but V8s is on its way up,” Priaulx told Speedcafe.com of the Australian championship.
“It is a formula you have to take seriously if you want to have a career in touring cars and I’m really excited to have a go and put my name on the radar down there.
“I have been keeping tabs on the V8 Supercars this year and it looks like it is going from strength to strength with new manufacturers joining and a lot of very good drivers on the grid.
“I’d love to come out and race for a couple of seasons but I’m pretty tied up with BMW, so I will see how that goes for next season.
“I’m not sure what the plans are as of yet, (but) V8s is always on my radar and I wouldn’t be too upset having to live in Australia for a while.”

This is part of why I wish they could get someone like Dale Jr, Scott Pruett, Bernd Schneider in these cars. Sure, Mika Salo, Joey Hand and big names before them have driven these cars but, someone really needs to let a big name(4-wheel CAR) driver have a steer for the season.

Id think WTCC closer, due to less downforce, to V8s than DTM. Dane should do 4 cars :)

Greens Tuf retro livery for the Chaz Mostert/Dale Wood DJR Falcon for Bathurst.
Dick Johnson Racing will mark 30 years since its famous Greens’-Tuf Ford Falcon XE crashed through the trees at Bathurst by running a retro livery in the 2013 race.
The all-green scheme is set to be sported by the Chaz Mostert/Dale Wood Falcon, which will switch its regular #12 plate with the #17 previously run on the sister Tim Blanchard/Ashley Walsh car for the meeting.
The move comes just a year after DJR harked back to another of its legendary looks, Tru-Blu, as part of the 2012 Bathurst event’s much-hyped 50th anniversary celebrations.

I just got accepted to be an Official at the Sydney 500 this December. Cant wait!

Congrats! I'm jealous!

Hey thanks. I chose the Seating Usher as a second choice and Track Official as first choice. I think Gate attwndant, food court, VIP usher and Track Marshal were other options open. Track Marshal needs special training im unable to do at this time. Plus, V8SC says they usually have the same people in those positioms annually. They granted my first choice as an Official. V8SC will send me details of my position, training, sign up, 4 weeks before the race.

It only counts if they paint it on Saturday night.

And put the sponsors stickers on it while its rolling to the grid!

http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/s60-sales-up-as-volvo-v8-supercar-nears-completion
Volvo’s entry into V8 Supercars racing has already resulted in an increase in interest in the S60 sedan six months before it make its racing debut at the 2014 Clipsal 500.“We have seen the order write on S60 over the last two weeks the highest since it has been launched,” Volvo Car Australia managing director Matt Braid told v8supercars.com.au.“Those cars haven’t been delivered yet, but we are seeing a pick-up already which we hadn’t been anticipating to be that fast.”Braid was speaking during a visit last week to Garry Rogers Motorsport to view the build progress of the first two S60 Car of the Future V8 Supercars.Chassis GRM16 was having its inner panels attached and will soon be ready for outer panels to be hung, while GRM17 was on the jig and being welded together.“That’s the first time I have seen the inner panels welded on it and ready for the outer panels to be hung on it,” said Braid.“You can see the S60 being a race car and that’s the exciting part for me. You look at it and its going to be a good looking car.

Who is going to Bathurst? And has any one heard that DJR will have the Greens Tough Livery to celebrate 30 years or something

Post #5347 for the Greens-Tuf livery.

I am heading to Bathurst as usual. It will be my 8th time :) Not bad for a 17 year old.

Anniversary livery for #33 GRM Commodore for Bathurst.
Fujitsu GRM’s Scott McLaughlin/Jack Perkins Holden will sport a revised livery at Bathurst as part of team owner Garry Rogers’ ongoing 50th year in motorsport celebrations.
The #33 Commodore will don gold highlights and ‘GRM 50 years’ lettering for the event.
The #34 Alexandre Premat/Greg Ritter entry will retain its season-long scheme for Bathurst.

Don't think this picture does the car much justice, reckon it will look 10x better in action next week.

Priaulx and Ekstrom V8 Test Update
Andy Priaulx and Mattias Ekstrom are enjoying a two-day test at Queensland Raceway ahead of their wildcard entry in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.The DTM drivers are sharing a Triple Eight-run Holden Commodore under a one-race deal put together by Mark Skaife and sponsor Microsoft XBox.Triple Eight’s championship leading driver Jamie Whincup completed a shakedown run in the car during the morning before leaving the duo in the hands of engineer Ludo Lacroix and Skaife.Bathurst will mark the first race for the chassis, which was the test mule for Triple Eight last year.Priaulx has 10 V8 Supercars starts already to his name, including three Bathursts, while Ekstrom is a V8 Supercar and Bathurst rookie.“To be honest the cars have just constantly got better since the first one I drove,” Priaulx told Speedcafe.com, having first competed in the class with Walkinshaw Racing in 2002.“The gearbox now is really nice and with the new rear axle in these cars I think they’ve become a little bit more nimble.

Its supposed to be chrome colours but, yeah, that thing looks cool.

I can't wait to see how well they do with the 1 off deal either.

Color chrome looks awesome!

EKSTROM'S FIRST DRIVE OF A V8 SUPERCAR

http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/ekstrom-s-first-steer-of-a-v8-supercar
Swede Ekstrom will share the wildcard Xbox One Racing Triple Eight entry with fellow international DTM competitor Andy Priaulx.Englishman Priaulx is no stranger to V8 Supercars, or Bathurst, having competed at Mount Panorama as well as the Surfers Paradise event in previous years. Each driver completed approximately 50 laps of the 3.12km Ipswich circuit at the test, which continues today. On Thursday afternoon, Ekstrom felt he was getting the gist of it.“I’m trying to get used to everything, finding a good rhythm and also sharing data with the team and with Andy,” the 35-year old told v8supercars.com.au.“So, slowly getting on the pace.”Ekstrom was impressed with the car’s horsepower, but mentioned he needed to get used to handling the tyres and engine. He felt both drivers provided similar feedback during the test, and was pleased they had made some positive changes. The car is being engineered by Triple Eight’s technical director Ludo Lacroix – his first time engineering a car in years –*but the team seemed to be working well.**

Ekstrom arrived in Australia early on Wednesday – it was straight to get his seat fitted and have a go on the simulator and learn some of the Mount Panorama circuit. While he hasn’t seen it in the flesh, Ekstrom has watched old qualifying and racing vision and believes the track to be one of the world’s best.“The track is for sure one of the greatest –*what you see when you look through the DVDs and play on the simulation – but the reality is, when I come there I will see what it’s like. But that’s my first impression from watching.”He praised the V8 Supercars Championship, saying it is one every driver wants to be a part of, and knows to race with Triple Eight is a strong opportunity.“All the teammates, the car, everything needs to be on the top level because that’s the only way I am going to make a result.“I have big respect for all the colleagues… For us, as rookies, to come in as a one off, for sure it’s not easy to be on the pace of Jamie Whincup, but you can be sure we are going to try.”When unveiled, the Xbox One Commodore –*the first completed Triple Eight Car of the Future – showed off a striking green livery.*Ekstrom described it as pretty fancy.“The fans will at least be able to see us when we’re on track because the car is very bright green.“We have to prove it is quick as well, not only looking good!”

A new buzzing look for Norton Hornets for Mount Panorama.
The Norton Hornet Nissan Altima team will buzz into Bathurst with a new-look garage and race number for the most famous race on the V8 Supercars calendar – the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
The two Norton Nissans of James Moffat/Taz Douglas and Michael Caruso/Daniel Gaunt will be surrounded by a horde of new pit walling and ‘hornet’ paraphernalia – an extension of the team’s Norton Hornet mascot.
The Caruso/Gaunt entry will also feature a new number for the race, with car number #36 competing as number #300 at the weekend. The number change supports a charity announcement to be made on Friday at Mount Panorama.
The extra additions to the Norton entries kick start what will be a special event for the Nissan Motorsport team, with this event marking Nissan’s return to Mount Panaorama – 21 years after its last race.

Just wanna say that I hope they have some V8's to go with Bathurst on GT6! The track looks incredible!!

I was aroused seeing the R18 in the first scene of the clip, some V8SCs would be nice but in hoping for some gt academy announcement on Wednesday for Australia,

Will Davison's FPR future in back in the spotlight. Possible move to Erebus next year?

Davison pauses contract talks for Bathurst.
Will Davison’s future remains at a crossroads on the eve of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, with a switch to Erebus Motorsport having emerged as a serious option for the current Ford Performance Racing star.
Davison’s future has been in limbo for months as negotiations with FPR have dragged past key deadlines, mirroring the team’s ongoing uncertainty with Ford.
Although Davison has repeatedly stated a desire to remain with the team, it is understood that the 31-year-old would need to take a significant salary reduction in order to do so.
Erebus’ property tycoon owner Betty Klimenko, meanwhile, has made an unprecedented level of investment in the category over the last 12 months establishing her Mercedes-Benz squad.
The team, which scored a best ever result of fourth last time out at the Sandown 500, is known to have been in negotiations with Davison’s management for some time.
Warning that suggestions a deal with Erebus has already been done are wide of the mark, the former Bathurst 1000 winner says that no further negotiations will be had about his future until after The Great Race.
“Nothing has been finalised yet,” Davison told Speedcafe.com.
“I’ve had up to six options (for 2014), so it’s been a very interesting time with a lot going on.
“I’ve stated all along that I’ve been very close with FPR and ideally something will work out there.
“In the last couple of days I’ve had great discussions with them (FPR), but we’ve decided just to stop all of it for Bathurst week and take it up again after that.
“At this stage I wouldn’t say it’s going one way or another. It’s still all open.”
