Is it sad I've planned my whole weekend around this race! Now just to stock up on few items and I will be set.

Praying my buddy can grab some Stuff from the race though.

Funny that green car, green grass and Xbox, hope no one misses it going into that corner!

Granted it does look awesome but I enjoyed the blue too.

Nissan’s hopes of a competitive return to the Bathurst 1000 have been boosted by the last-minute introduction of a revised cylinder head for its four Altimas.The team had been working on the latest iteration for some months, with a major push made in recent weeks to ensure it could be implemented for The Great Race.The need to have the upgrade run on V8 Supercars’ dyno in Queensland and approved by the category ensured that two of the team’s cars were dispatched for Bathurst earlier this week without engines aboard.Both were installed at the circuit on Wednesday; one of which had travelled to Bathurst directly from Queensland via a support race team transporter.Team co-owner and driver Todd Kelly believes that the economy-focussed changes will prove the difference between needing to do seven or eight stops in a fully green race.Seven stops have been made compulsory for all cars at Bathurst this year in order to assist the competitiveness of the four-valve engined Nissans and Mercedes AMGs.“If it (the revised head) can get us a good gain in economy we might be able to go from 19 lap stints to 21 laps, which will be huge for opening up our strategy and lessening fuel (fill) time,” Kelly told Speedcafe.com.“Based off the dyno it looks like it’ll be quite good but we won’t know exactly how good until we put it on track.

There should be a rule, that if you run a multi-valve engine, rev limit is 8500-9000 and change compression. Thats in the name of parity if V8SC wont allow a change in fuel. It should be up to Ford and Holden to move with the times if they choose to keep the push rod engine or switch to a multi valve wngine. NISMO, Erebus and Poleatar should have a set of rules for that type of engine to make things even. No sense "dumbing down" those engines but, I guess the powers that be didnt want to see the newcomers win multiple races by this stage.

Ohhhh, I cant wait to see how practice goes...

I was gonna ask this cuz I retardly decided to run a 500k SUPER GT race with some of my friends from Brazil and forgot to check and see if the events crossed over.:(

Dunno if I wanna pay $14 to watch half the race lol

You can watch it all after the race with the price you pay. Honestly it's a good deal if you ask me
 
The #47 having dramas. First a brake line is severed by debris, sending Andrew Thompson into the barrier at the Chase. Tjen Slade hits a wall. Well, better now than Sunday...

It's funny that these old push rod are still showing the pace and I prefer the sound/look of them anyway.

Oh, I said "move with the times". If Holden and Ford stepped up with the DOHC to the series, it might have made all things even regarding the race cars.
 
Thanks for the well wishing guys, in sp sun burnt i could blend into the the fujitsu racing livery and give some people a real freight hahahaha. Fairly disappointed that neither pd nor xbox took this opportunity to market their new products with hands on demo's like e3 or goodwood,

Mattias Ekstrom is a top bloke, talked for a good ten minutes on cars and racing, shorter conversations with Ryan Briscoe and Jamie Whincup, unfortunately not many pictures as my phone died, will get more over the weekend,

My opinion, the Nissan cars over Reid park look like they have gone back to the 60s and using a Datsun 1200 setup, damn that thing is really waddling like a duck, but otherwise everything is a pretty straight forward Thursday, tomorrow the cars will be faster for qualifying, will give a more in depth description on the car attitudes going through Reid park over soloman park as they disappear over the crest to skyline,

Enjoy the action when you can guys, its going to be a cracker!
 
Hmm, weather predictions are sunny through today, tomorrow and (the great equaliser)showers for Sunday's race.

Was just about to ask what the weather forecast was. Hopefully there will be a few showers on sunday, always makes for an interesting race.👍

Just saw an image on Instagram of the #17 with a fair bit of damage and will apparently miss qualifying today.
