To be honest I like the black contrast in it.
Team owner Betty Klimenko told v8supercars.com.au that her initial instinct was probably to drop back to two cars.
“Three is a really weird number, two and four is always better, but I don’t know if I want to go to four,” she said.
“We inherited three cars, with all the contracts, all the sponsors and everything, it wasn’t like we started fresh. So in some ways it has been cleaned up for us and we can go out there and do our thing, do the Erebus thing.
Erebus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison told v8supercars.com.au the announcement of Slade’s departure last week had increased the level of both local and international enquiry about a potential seat at the team in 2014.
“Even when the speculation started around Tim and what’s occurring there we were already fielding enquiries, not just domestically but off-shore also.
“Making that announcement or confirming that late last week, it only increased the level of interest both domestically and internationally.”
There is a panoply of both foreign drivers and overseas-based Aussies who might be sniffing around an Erebus drive. Locals who could qualify include uncontracted Ford star Will Davison, rising Ford rookie Chaz Mostert, Walkinshaw enduro driver Nick Percat, Slade’s Supercheap Auto predecessor Russell Ingall and Dean Fiore, who could also bring his REC with him if required.
Erebus have their driver Jack Le Broq in the SLS. He'd be a perfect fit should they go with 4 cars. And if they are loosing a sponsor, I'm sure there are a few who would be quick to sign up. With two cars I see how it could turn into a GRM type team. Maybe even get more backing from Mercedes if the project is scaled down. But, that input from an experienced third/fourth driver, sure would help Holdsworth to compare his true speed.
The Daily Telegraph has been leaked details of the sport’s radical transformation ahead of the release of the 2014 V8 calendar and the night racing revolution is set to begin with key events like the Sydney 500 and the Gold Coast 600 to thunder into darkness with 8.30pm race finishes.
The sport’s international ambition has also been put on hold with the Austin 400 round in the U.S.A to be dumped from the 2014 calendar as the sport looks consolidate the domestic rounds before revisiting America in 2015.
In just the first year of a five-year contract, the lucrative deal with the Circuit of the America’s (C.O.A) has been but on hold with both the promoters and V8 Supercars keen to lock in at least another event in the Northern America before returning.
when they come back they need to run the full course, not enough passing opportunities on the short course. And I think the other track should be Miller in Utah.![]()
That I would like to see too.Niiiice
It's not an official pic but, BMW are so full of it.

That BMW is awesome, hopefully comes to fruition,
Subject to ridicule from either the Hawthorn or Fremantle fans come time for Bathurst, I bet.Big pictures of both. 👍 Not sold on the Collingwood bonnet, whatever though.

The same story also reports there'll be changes in format to the non-Enuro rounds as well with the SuperStreet races(Adelaide, Townsville and Sydney) going to 500 km over the weekends ala the Clipsal 500 while the SuperSprint format will be used for the other tracks. From what I heard, SuperSprint events will comprise of 2 100 km races on Saturday and a 200 km race on Sunday. No idea how long the trip to Austin will be off the calendar for, but I imagine it might return to the series in 2015 with another round somewhere in the US.Also, the Daily Telegraph is reporting that Austin will be dumped for the 2014 calendar. Link.
Well after watching the GT battle in the ALMS race today, the long circuit is the way to go!!
Hope they will make it 2 rounds in North America in 2015.
One driver that really needs to take a hike is Prémat!! Couldn't cut it in DTM and can't get it by now. I just think is in the way at this point.
I like the way this championship is going at this point. Can't wait for Bathurst!!
I hope V8SC/7Sport will stream the race for the international viewers again like they did last year. I guess I will ask them on their Facebook page.
So no COTA V8 Supercars next year. No Separate Grand Am & ALMS/WEC weekends next year either because of the merger. So what's left is F1, Moto GP, & USCR/WEC. Am I forgetting anyone outside the Vintage Racing event?
That I would like to see too.Does the artist have the templates of all the angles for that concept car?
I've only seen the artist do this one angle.
I see V8SC in the USA as a do-over. Warburton is doing a good thing with making a sound structure for the races, then making sure the US event is well thought out. F1 at COTA is a success. COTF will be two years old and will also give VOlvo time to catch up in 2014 for 2015. Which hopefully will attract more people and better event preparation. The new night/twilight races and formats will be good.
Honestly, I'd like to see COTA & Laguna Seca feature V8SC. From Cali they just get on a ship back to Oz or. A NZ round( but if it's mid year it'll be cold)

I agree with most of your post, but from everything we've heard, neither COTA or V8s brass thought the event there was a success, with COTA reportedly losing a bunch of money & V8s being very underwhelmed by the promotion (or lack of), the attendance, & the way the event was run.
Not sure if old news, but 7 News just reported that the series is returning to Sydney Motorsport Park (the old Eastern Creek) in August 2014.

That's NEW news. Finally listening to the fans. This means I'll be going to the AGP, Sandown, Phillip Island, The Creek and Homebush next year.![]()
Müle;8835860I think Speed Canada is showing Sandown tonight. Was the race worth watching?
Hmmmm... where do the V8s go in the US... I have a wild card... how about a COTA and IMS? The RC being redesigned rumors are in high gear here in Indy and with COTA one weekend and on the IMS on the Indy 500 weekend... in fact run one of the races on Saturday late afternoon, and the other? Run it either later in day after the 500 or run it on the Monday after the 500, right after the photos are done with the Indy 500 winner. If they charged 80 bucks for all four days (including bump day and race day), I would take a few days off of work just to see these guys in action. It would very awesome.![]()

A minimum of five Saturday twilight races are possible in 2014. V8 Supercars will announce timings of all races early in the New Year in consultation with host broadcaster Seven.
As a precursor the first 250km race at the Sydney 500 this December will run from 5.10pm to 7.30pm. The ARMOR ALL Top Ten Shootout at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 next month will also be staged later on Saturday afternoon.
The prospect of racing at twilight has received unanimous support from fans with 85 per cent supporting a Saturday evening race and almost 50 per cent more people would attend or watch a twilight race.
